New Model Cars - blue_haddock
Over the past few days i've seen a few new model cars and here are my thoughts.

New Passat - not really fussed either way, didn't really grab me but didn't make me want to grab the sick bucker.

Nissan Murano - I like it...... ALOT!

Suzuki Swift - Only a quick glimpse as one went the other way but it looked pretty enough.

Seat Toledo - Looked like the love child of an original Merc A Class and a Renault Vel Satis. Not a good combination.

Has anyone else seen anything new recently?

Talking of new models, BH, you're a Toyota expert. I don't mean this question in any way offensively - just out of curiosity.

The new Corolla Verso seems to have a smaller glass area, particularly at the back, than the old model, without looking any more stylish (the old one looked fine). Reversing must be an act of faith.

I can see the point of facelifts in general of course, but why did Toyota make this particular change, which seems retrograde?

The smaller glass thing is affecting more and more cars - look at the Accord estate - i've seen more glass on a van!

It was much more than a facelift, old Verso was based on the older Corolla - new one based on current Corolla so a much better drive whilst being 7 seats as opposed to 5 seats like the old model.

I can't say i've had a problem with it in regards to reversing. If people like the car but have trouble reversing, it means i can charge them a nice little drop to fit parking sensors!

Many thanks BH - you obviously sell a great many Toyotas! Fortunately I'm in a good position to resist as the Audi is only 15 months old, but I agree the Verso is a great car.

Perhaps the minimal-glass thing will come and go as fashions do. I agree that the SEAT Toledo is hideous - there is now a new Leon with even less glass, so little as to be dangerous.

Daughter loves her 1.3 Yaris by the way, and has 6 points on her licence to prove it!

I really, really like the Murano and I'm trying to stop myself because of what it is.

You can't argue with that burnt orangy type colour though!

Nice to hear that orange is back. I haven't seen cars in it since the 1970's. Can we get it with tartan upholstery?
