  • I cannot see my corners 6 Apr 2004 (Forum)
I remember Lady Thatcher once saying that she likes Jaguars as they're the only car where you can see the end of your bonnet. I'd add the MB W123 to that list. But my 'new' audi 100/(A6 shape) I've no idea whatsoever where the corners might be. Anybody else have similar problems with their cars?

Friend has an Audi TT 180 with 12300 miles on the clock (not been serviced) and the display suggests another 7200 miles before its first service. Is this typical for TTs, does anyone know? All he was given when taking delivery was some oil for top up if required at 1000 miles.
  • Buying used cars in Germany 26 Jan 2002 (Forum)
Hi, After reading that there was a price advantage to be had in buying high-performance cars from Germany (I'm specifically thinking about an Audi S4), could anyone point me to links of german classified sales ? Or disabuse me of my presumption ? Additionally if anyone has done it themselves, could you mail me directly, Thanks in advance, Olly
  • South African production of German marques 22 Dec 2001 (Forum)
Can I get a Mercedes built in Germany if I collect it personally from the Sindelfingen plant? Is there any way of telling where a car was built from its chassis number? What about VW and Audi?
  • Audi A3 + S3 (2003 - 2008) - A3 3.2 Quattro 11 Apr 2008 (Forum)
No electric memory seats (Ford Scorpio, Peugeot 406). Now, heres the thing, I haven;t looked in detail at any Audi, BMW, or Merc before, but the dealer says that these premium German brands are usually badly equipped, however this is not the lead in 1.6 I am looking at, but the flagship 3.2 Quattro. Given the above, I am being "picky", expecting too much?
  • Audi A4 B6 - Stuttering engine then stall - 2004 1.9 TDI 23 Apr 2019 (Forum)
Hi all, I was very pleased to get an Audi as I have always wanted one and got this car recently as we dont have a lot of money. But then issues started to arise. Recent work done had been vacuum valve and crank sensor replaced. First, discovered a flooded plenum chamber and water in relays under ECU which caused limp mode plus soaked carpets inside drivers and rear passenger behind driver side.

  • Audi A4 (1995 - 2000) - Possible purchase. What do you all think? 15 Dec 2007 (Forum)
A local bombsite trader (think of a bad-tempered Turkish Bellboy without the wit) has a RHD Audi A4 Avant that he´s taken as a PX, and is going to find difficult to shift. No market for RHD here in Germany, and it´s still on UK plates. It´s a late ´96 2.6 V6 automatic, fairly high spec. Bad bits: undocumented 115k miles, no service history at all (book is missing).
  • Audi A4 2.6 idle control problem 2 Dec 2006 (Forum)
Has anybody had experience of, and more importantly, found a solution for the following problem I have with my 1996 Audi A4 2.6 SE auto (ABC engine). The problem is as follows. The idle speed is not being controlled properly, but it is an intermittent fault. Sometimes (about 25% of the time) when driving and returning to idle the engine speed dips right down and then bounces back to normal again.
  • Audi S£ and ponytail? 30 Oct 2001 (Forum)
Dear Mr Audi S3 Driver, I am so sorry for delaying your Friday evening rush hour journey west bound on Birmingham Broad Street. I do understand that by waiting a short time to let those two vehicles turn right I imposed an insufferable delay on your busy schedule.
