  Given how impressive SWMBO's Audi A1 is, an A3 convertible?  The 1.4 TSIs are too recent and too expensive.  BMW?  A 1-series is big enough, and there are some with the legendary straight-six.  Not many about - and to this site's credit, only two more on Autotrader than on here.  Mostly black, and mostly 135is with a turbo which could go wrong.

  Now after about six months the car has developed some fault to do with the fuel system and they refuse to pay. The BMW specialist diagnosed the problem and need to change the the fuel injectors, injector coils and also spark plugs. But the AA warranty says that these components are not covered. I told them when the Cargiant sold me this product they showed me this leaflet, which I still have, and clearly says the warranty includes Engine, Fuel System, Working Materials, etc.
