  • Rare Fisker Tramonto Makes £50k at BCA Bedford 13 Jan 2012 (News)
    .  Over 90% of the cars sold on the day for a £3 million-plus turnover that achieved 99% of CAP Clean. Star of the show was a 2006 Fisker Tramonto - the only right hand drive model in existence and one of just 15 built.  A true supercar, the Tramonto is based on the Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG and was created by the Californian based company founded by former Aston Martin head designer Henrik Fisker.  The car was painted in Titanium Quartz Metallic with two-tone Sand interior in finest Italian leather and finished with Aluminium and bare Carbon Fibre touches.  Following some very competitive bidding in the auction hall and online, it sold for £50,000, calculated as 172% of CAP.

    One of the most exclusive performance supercars in the world is to star in a massive sale staged by Lex Autolease and BCA at the Bedford centre on Tuesday, 10 th January at 10:30am.   The Fisker Tramonto is the only right hand drive model in existence and is one of just 15 built and its original retail price was in excess of $250,000. The Tramonto is based on the Mercedes-Benz SL 55 AMG and is coachbuilt by Fisker Coach Build of California – the company established by former Aston Martin head designer Henrik Fisker, who includes the DB9 and V8 Vantage on his CV.   This car was first shown at the Top Marques show in Monaco and is painted in Titanium Quartz Metallic with two-tone Sand interior in finest Italian leather and finished with Aluminium and bare Carbon Fibre touches.

    Another emerging factor in the shortage of used stock is the export of used cars to the Irish Republic and even to some left hand drive eastern European markets, sparked by the weakness of sterling. All the market performance indicators measured by Black Book moving into March showed unusually strong results, with ex-fleet car conversion rates in particular enjoying a historic high at around 90% - compared with less than 75% for the same period a year ago.
