Citroen C5 (2001 - 2008) - 02 2.2 HDi diesel starting problems 8 Apr 2009 (Forum)
I put new ones in and still the problem persists. That was not an easy job!!!! I have taken it to the Citroen Centre in Oxford. He checked all the various pressures and air flows using his lexia computer. All seem to check out okay but he cannot check pressures whilst cranking. He suggested buzzing through the wiring looms. -
Citroen Xantia (1993 - 2000) - 1996 1.8 Reservoir Float Sticking? 29 Dec 2008 (Forum)
One question which springs to mind is it looks like the previous owner may have overfilled with non-Citroen LHM, to compensate for a slight leak near the rear N/S sphere. The mushroom gauge on top the reservoir doesn't seem to move at all, despite us syphoning out a litre of fluid from the reservoir, leaving the internal level approximately the same as my Xantia estate which floats like a dream. -
Citroen Xsara Picasso (2000 - 2010) - 02 2.0 HDi Engine Fault - knocking/jerking 23 Dec 2008 (Forum)
Hi, A few months ago due to an expanding family I purchased a 52 plate Citroen Xsara Picasso 2.0 HDi SX. Within the first week a fault developed where the engine would make a metallic knock and there would be a split second jerk of power. At first I thought the knocking noise was an engine mount or perhaps some backlash in the gearbox. -
Citroen Berlingo Multispace (1998 - 2010) - 08 1.6 Engine running on. 2 Nov 2008 (Forum)
But when I insisted that I'd been in the trade myself as a mechanic & never come across anything like it, he booked it in to be checked out & found nothing. I think there is something amiss, because my mpg is crap. If I get in touch with Citroen Technical, they'll simply refer me to my dealer. Anyone shed any light on this phenomenon? Cheers BeeJay -

Citroen Xsara (1997 - 2004) - 2002 2.0HDi - Dead Remote Locking 5 Apr 2008 (Forum)
The car gave a lurch and the Hazard lights came on. Since then the remote locking has not worked. Both myself and Citroen have been through the key-reset procedure to no avail. it looks as though the car has turned the remote facility off completely. I feel that it is a software problem somewhere. Cirtoen say that it MAY be an aerial or an ECU problem., and have quoted me around £150 for the ECU and a further £100 for fitting. -

My Citroen Saxo has been driving me mad. About 5 weeks ago i started the car & the battery light stayed on. The light got brighter & i lost my headlights, radio, indicators, speedometer, petrol gauge, all the dashboard lights came (Air bag etc) & then the card just died & wouldn't start again. -
Citroen VSX hydroactive spheres 9 Jun 2007 (Forum)
Hi All, This is my second attempt at posting. I have a Citroen Xantia VSX 1998cc Turbo. It has petrol CT engine. I have two problems, firstly the suspension is so bumpy it is almost undriveable at times. It is sometimes OK. When going over bumps, no matter how slow I take them them the car bounces hard and I have to hold the steering really tight. -
Honda Civic Coupe/Citroen Xsara Coupe 4 Jan 2007 (Forum)
Anyhow, shes asked me to see if there are any other possible options which are fairly small engined coupes which are very reliable and cheap to run also. The two Ive come up with are the Civic Coupe which should be reliable, but the Citroen Xsara 1.6 VTR - I know nothing about these so dont want to recommend them unless they are as reliable as the Puma and Civic. Shes not bothered about how they drive, she just wants something that looks sporty/young and is cheap to run, esp insurance. -
Insurance Groups 22 Jun 2003 (Forum)

citroen zx clutch 11 Sep 2002 (Forum)
Thinking of chopping it in for Mazda 323f as I love these (thanks to those who already replied on that one!) or Nissan Primera, or Audi 80 - whatever I will not be buying another Citroen. Limited budget so what do you reckon - keep the ZX going or go for German/Japanese? -
Blasted French car manufacturers 15 Nov 2001 (Forum)
What this basically means is that these cheeky buggers are trying to force people to go to a Citroen garage to have tyres fitted at what can only be described as extortionate prices (we spent 55% less than Citroen quoted). We won in the end as we found a local outfit with the right adaptor to get the wheels onto the balancing machine - this adaptor incidentally costs 700 quid according to said garage and few places have them. -
