  Milner, a past winner of the British Rally Championship in a Corolla WRC, will have around 800bhp on tap in the supercharged Celica. The hillclimb course will also provide a rare chance to see the MR2-based Toyota Group S car in action, a prototype rally car from the 1980s that never saw competition after championship regulations were changed. The machine is one of just two that have survived. Juha Kankkunen, one of world rallying’s most successful drivers, will be taking the wheel of a mighty Group B Celica, a version of the car that was specially built by TTE to take part in the Hong Kong – Beijing Rally in 1986.

  Big Stuff Off The Boil at Auction Today 26 Sep 2005 (News)
  A small engined 11k mile 04 reg Porsche Cayenne 3.2 sold for £34,250, but a much more desirable 24k mile 2003/53 Cayenne 4.5S stuck at £33,600 provisional. Of the 997s, a 42k mile 2001X but 1999 build 3.4 Carrera S Tiptronic sold for £28,800, a 17k mile 2003/53 3.6 Carrera 2 Tiptronic convertible with hardtop sold for £43,400, a 12k mile 03 reg 3.6 Carrera 4 convertible, also with hard-top, bid to £43,300 provisional, and an 18k mile 02 reg 3.6 Carrera 4 Turbo sold for £51,700.

  £9,800 bought a 38k mile 03 reg Honda Accord 2.0 Executive auto, £12,600 took home s 28k mile 2004/53 reg SAAB 9-3 Aero 6-speed manual. Masses of interest in an imported 124k mile 1991 Porsche 911 993 Carrera 2 Tiptronic took it to £10,500 provisional. A 58k mile 98R Scorpio 2.9 Ultima 24v Cosworth sold for a strong £2,900.

  A high mileage (168k miles) 95N Peugeot 306 XLD with a MOT until Nov and 2 months tax but also in need of some new brake pads and discs made £547. And someone bought a Hyundai S-Coupe. The 94M 1.5 MVTI Turbo with an MOT for the rest of this year, 83,000 miles and burgundy paint made £375. One to watch The fire engine red 1992 Lancia Delta Integrale Evo sourced from Italy that was mentioned last week only bid up to £8,100 which meant it didn’t sell.

  In other halls, a top spec 14k mile 04 reg SAAB 9-3 Vecta automatic convertible bid to a provisional £20,750, a 71k mile 99T Jaguar S-Type 3.0 V6 auto sold for £6,400, a 76k mile 97P Jaguar XJ6 3.2 Executive (six, not V8) sold for a strong £4,625 and a 78k mile 97R Jaguar XK8 convertible sold for £15,850. Yet the mighty can fall.
