Insuring a banger 2 Feb 2005 (Forum)
It's renewal time on my insurance, and I've got a few quotes for my reliable old Cavalier SRi, but they almost outweigh the value of the car. I don't need to worry about people nicking or damaging my car as it's worth peanuts now, but obviously need cover. However, I do wish to retain my no claims for future purchases. Is it therefore possible to get third-party cover which protects my no claims? -

Insured to the nearest minute? 8 Dec 2004 (Forum)
I am in the process of changing my car and was surprised when I contacted my insurer today to arrange a cover note. The insurer wanted to know not only what day I was changing the car, but also the exact time - I was warned that this was important and if I was incorrect I would not be covered (horrible image of being delayed en route to collect new car and finding myself driving without insurance, or being unable to drive old car to dealer to collect replacement). -

Nissan X-Trail - Nissan X-Trail 2017/Timing belt cover leak 10 Apr 2023 (Forum)

It has done 28k miles till date so 18k since i bought it. Sounds to me this has been faulty since day 1 and wasn't repaired properly but vehicle is out of warranty now. -

Mitsubishi Colt 3-door - Extended Warranties 20 Oct 2010 (Forum)
I have never got into these before but our 3 year old Colt is about to pass out of warranty. We have been offered 1,2 or 3 years of extended breakdopwn cover for £275, £409 or £589. The car is well looked after. Regadless whether the same deal is cheaper elsewhere, is this type of cover worthwhile or is it the same sort of poor deal you get with white goods and the like? -
