• Peugeot 405 Roof Rails - Shrinking Car? 31 Jul 2007 (Forum)
  Here's something which has got all the folk in our family bemused - Pug 405 roof rails! We have a set of Peugeot roof rails which happily used to fit on an earlier 405 estate with rails. However, they now won't fit on a '96 model - they're too wide by about 3 cm. I'm sure Peugeot didn't change the spec of these models in their liftime - or does anyone know whether there are two different specs of roof rail for this model.

  I have a peugeot eurobus (taxi), that has been converted from a peugeot expert. I have spoke to other drivers with a eurobus and some say that they go through turbo's on a regular basis, 3 turbos in 105,000miles, this was not of too much concern as they were all replaced under warranty, but as the warranty lapses, the cost is down to the driver.

  I am about to take delivery of an 02 Peugeot 406 hdi estate. It's fitted with a Clarion CD player which accepts single CD's. My current 99 Peugeot 406 has a 6 CD changer in the back which i prefer. Is it possible to fit a multi changer to the car and if so, do you simply plug in the cable into the rear of the clarion and away you go?

  My Dad died recently and his old Peugeot 309 is in his garage. We need to sell it and I wondered how much it was worth (roughly) for a quick sale. It's a J reg 309 Style (1300cc engine) 83k, regularly serviced, white, good nick, no scratches/dents, paint a little oxidised but I will give it a quick t-cut and wax, uphostery not worn, no electric windows or anything flash like that, manual tilt & slide sunroof - one of those quite big Peugeot type ones,6 months MOT and tax.

  I took delivery of a new Peugeot 307 S in December 2003. As soon as I started it I was aware of a high pitched whine. This whine varies when the steering wheel is moved. The dealer seems to think there is nothing wrong with this, even though it sounds like a microwave oven.

  MY PEUGEOT ENGINE MODEL ABOVE IS OVER HEATING ONLY WHEN IN GEAR. THE RADIATOR WATER PUMP THERMOSTAT AND TEMPERATURE SENSOR HAVE BEEN REPLACED TO NO AVAIL . ANY IDEAS PLEASE AFTER 2 MECHANICS ITS STILL NOT FIXED .

  I have a Peugeot 308 sw aut hdi (2012), that I have had from new. For the last two years, I have been experiencing an intermittant fault involving power loss when I have been pulling away. The car creeps forward for approx 2-3 seconds then takes off at normal speed.

  Hi, just started doing my mates head gasket and realised I've lent out my Haynes manual, searched the web but can not find the torque wrench settings, and tightening sequence anywhere....pls can anyone help? Vehicle is a 1993 PEUGEOT 306 1.4 PETROL (Engine code TU3M/Z). Thx in advance!!!

  I have a choice between a new 508 SW 2.0 HDi 163 automatic and a new Passat 2.0 TDi estate DSG automatic. The Peugeot appeals to me more. However I need good reliability. Is the 508 SW a sound choice? Would the Passat prove a better option, if so, why? Thanks
• Peugeot 307 2.0 HDI - heater pipe seals 5 Mar 2011 (Forum)
  I've just changed the heater matrix on a 307 and  there's a leak where the pipes attach, I did grease the 'O' rings before refitting but it looks like they need to be changed. Peugeot only sell them as part of a pipe kit  -£60 +VAT!  Does anyone know what size they are please.

  Hello, I have a Peugeot 406 1.9td and rev counter some times it drops to zero.I have read that there is a pick up sensor on the fly wheel but I can't find it.If some one knows the location exactly or can take a picture I will epriciate very much.

  Hi, My peugeot 206 has a knocking noise when the accelreator is released. When driving it is fine. If i coast in neutral there is no noise and when the clutch is dissengaged the noise is reduced greatly. Anyone have any ideas?

  Hi I have a N reg Peugeot xrd 1.9 that will not start. The fuel filter is clean and there is a good supply of fuel. Fuel vents from the fuel pump, but there is NO fuel supply to the injectors. Has anyone any ideas Phill {N reg - that'll be something like 1995 then, and not 1993; amended}

  Am i correct in thinking the LDV pilot is rwd and uses a peugeot 1.9 diesel engine. Is this the same as in the 405, 406 etc? Leading on from this do the HDI engines now in the 406 use the same gearboxes as the old 1.9 i.e are the bellhousings the same? does this mean it would be possible to put a HDI engine in an LDV van (albeit alot of work)

  Hi, I know there's a rule with Peugeots that the engine series is "hidden" within the VIN number (need to know the engine series in order to buy the correct stop-solenoid in case anyone's wondering!). The VIN number in question is VF37AD9B2302XXXXX - can one of the Pug experts out there tell me which part of this gobbledygook is the engine series?!

  i have got a peugeot 406 2.1 td,just changed the radiator as old one was well past its sell by date. i have bled the system as by the haynes manual,but i could only find one bleed valve and that was on the heater matrix,does anyone know any different or if there are more bleed valves?

  The owner said he had hit it where the airbag sensor was and deactivated the airbag, so the car wouldn't start and he had to get the ECU (sp?) reset by Peugeot. Would welcome any info on this. Thanks

  The engine management light Comes on on idle (when car at running temperature) but when engine is cold she idles rough, if engine is revved slighly it goes off. Then release throttle comes on after about 10 secs HELP... By the way car is 97 PEUGEOT 306 1.6 xs (TU engine with magnetti-marelli igniton) Many thanks
