Peugeot 405 Roof Rails - Shrinking Car? - GeordieGuy

Here's something which has got all the folk in our family bemused - Pug 405 roof rails! We have a set of Peugeot roof rails which happily used to fit on an earlier 405 estate with rails. However, they now won't fit on a '96 model - they're too wide by about 3 cm. I'm sure Peugeot didn't change the spec of these models in their liftime - or does anyone know whether there are two different specs of roof rail for this model. We'd buy some more, but now we're not sure as to which we might need.

I've got an Escort Estate but find I need to adjust the width of the cross bars everytime I fit them-and yes-one is marked Front and the other,Back.

Thanks - unfortunately there is no way of adjusting the genuine Pug ones. We've chopped & changed F & B bars without success.
Possibly, we're all going mad or maybe the car has shrunk in all the rain.
