I like the look of... 30 May 2009 (Forum)
Perhaps it's just a certain detail, or angle of view, that makes you look twice. Another example for me is the Mazda 6, but only in a metallic colour I would call lilac. Seen two or three of those and I've stopped each time to admire. My last contribution in this post is the more expensive versions of the Mondeo estate. -
Blinking Indicators linked to Alarm 27 Sep 2008 (Forum)
I drive a M5 (okay a Mazda 5 then). When i disable the alarm the indicators flash once. When i engage the alarm the indicators flash twice. Other manufacturers have a similar setup. Apart from the french cars i have seen. Refering to Peugeot and Citroen. -
Newbie with money to burn 2 Jul 2008 (Forum)
Hello all My first post here, but one probably you've seen many times before. I'm after a new car and I have a shortlist of a Ford/Vauxhall/Skoda/Mazda/Renault - you get the picture!. I've trawled the local garages, and I'm now fed up to my remaining back teeth and just want to get a vehicle sorted. Looking at an '07 1.6 petrol C-Max with 11000 on the clock for £8995 and a '54 Nissan Almera Tino with just 16000 genuine miles for £5400. -
Help to choose a small car 11 Jun 2008 (Forum)
However, with similar or even less money I could buy a nearly new 2005 Corsa 1.2 Sxi, a Grande Punto, a Fiesta or a Mazda 2. There are loads around on Ebay, Autotrader, Exchange & Mart and so forth, often at ridiculously low prices. Which one should I go for? My daughters want a new Fiat 500, but they are far too expensive at the moment. -
Vauxhall Zafira B (2005 - ) - 2007/57 Models - Diesel Engine Problems? 5 Apr 2008 (Forum)
If not the Zafira, I'm looking for a reliable 6 seater automatic, but I'm coming up with a dead end everywhere I look. All the alternatives (Touran, Verso, Grand Picasso C4) seem to have auto gearbox problems. The Mazda 5 looks a bit small; the Honda FRV has that awful 2 x 3 seating, while the Grandis fuel consumption is too much. Hence, Zafira looks to be the only show in town. Advice welcome. -
Choosing a diesel - What Mazda6 size car ? 31 Oct 2007 (Forum)
I'm contemplating throwing in the towel for the Honda due to spiralling fuel costs and the fear of hefty repair bills as the mileage gets higher and opting for a diesel. Problem is, which diesel? My budget is limited to around £7k and I had thought of a Mazda or Ford but some of the posts on this website have put me off. I need reliability and a reasonable mpg and a car that will give me 150k miles plus. Any recommendations based on personal experience? -
San Storm convertible? 16 Jul 2007 (Forum)
You could get a nice 1.8 with low mileage and only 2 or 3 years old for that money. And you're pretty much guaranteed reliability with the Mazda. Chris. -
Is it worth getting rid of rust? 5 Jun 2007 (Forum)
My 1999 Mazda 323 has rust bubbling through a rear wheel arch (result of a badly repaired scrape years back). I've been told by 2 bodyshops that if they simply grind out the rust, fill and paint, the rust will come back and that they need to cut out the affected metal or replace the panel completely. -
What are covered under new car warranty? 23 May 2007 (Forum)

Hi guys - The wife's 10 year old Skoda was damaged some weeks ago when parked outside our house. We reported the incident to our insurers who arranged... -
Most Reliable Cars 8 Aug 2006 (Forum)
The most reliable model was the Honda Jazz with a score of 95% - not one Honda Jazz broke down out of more than 400 in the survey. Medium cars 1st Toyota Corolla, 2nd Mazda 3. Superminis 1st Honda Jazz, 2nd Renault Clio. Large Cars 1st Honda Accord, 2nd BMW 3 Series. Off-roaders 1st Honda CRV, 2nd Subaru Forester. MPVs 1st Toyota Verso, 2nd Citroen Xsara Picasso. Luxury Cars 1st Audi A6, 2nd Volvo V70. -
Carte blanche 21 Mar 2005 (Forum)
I think mid-size is preferable to mini (and likely to be better value) and my happy experience with the family Mazda makes me look favourably upon 323's and similar. I like my old Audi, too, but I cheerfully admit to bias, which is why I'm asking you lot... What say you all? -
Car change 7 Mar 2004 (Forum)
My wife will not even consider a Mondeo but we need this size of car, preferrably a diesel. Any recommendations would be welcome. (I am looking at a new Mazda 6 later today, any good?) -
Euro iv compliant diesels 8 Dec 2003 (Forum)
I see they have yet to announce any other plans to market models with compliant engines - not even the C-Max which has a brand new 2.0 engine in it. Any explanations? I am now thinking of a Mazda 6 which is about to be made complaint but can\'t obtain any data on it. Anyone who has any information on the if the economy is affected would be appreciated. -
Honda Civic or similar 7 Jan 2002 (Forum)
Having been a company car driver for years, I'm out of practice. Son has a budget of £5000 max and is interested in a Mazda 323, Civic or Corolla. Having toured some dealers today, the best bet so far seems to be a 97R Civic (1.5 L VTEC engine) at our local Honda dealer. It's high mileage at 73K, but has been regualarly dealer serviced every 12,000 miles. -
Air conditioning 28 Jul 2001 (Forum)
I have a mazda mx6 which as far as I am aware doesn't have ac. When I was checking under the bonnet tonight, I saw a black cylinder to the rear of the engine on the near side. I am not very mechanically minded but it looks suspiciously like the condenser unit found on the back of fridges. -
Mazda MX5 (1998-2005) - 02 1600 issues with water ingress/mould soft top 9 Dec 2009 (Forum)
Right, 02 plate Mx5 soft-top ( vinyl ) I've been left the car for 2 weeks by a friend - she's gone on holiday and left me to repair it !!! So far, ive... -
Chrysler Sebring Saloon (2007 - ) - It is worse than I expected 6 Sep 2009 (Forum)
I have just had a lift in one these as my friends dads Mazda 6 is being repaired due to accident damage. I have always thought of the Mazda 6 as a bit of a boring car in the sense that it is reliable, well built, smooth and comfortable, e.g it does nothing wrong but also has a design which would not excite people. -
High cars, not 4 wheel drive, preferably Japanese? 16 Sep 2024 (Forum)
I have not had anything non-Japanese for 20 years so I would need a bit of persuading to go back to Ford or Vauxhall. . I am considering the Mazda 5 but they are thin on the ground. I don't want an import because I am having to give up current imported Honda due to unavailability of spares. I don't want 4 wheel drive because then you lose luggage space. -
