  • Peugeot 406 (1999 - 2004) - Biodiesel in Hdi engines 17 Jun 2008 (Forum)
Hi Guys Complete newbie to this so please bear with me if I sound a little naive, I have recently found a legit supplier of biodiesel at 96ppl and I am seriously considering using it in both a Peugeot 406 2.0l Hdi (2000) and a Peugeot Expert 1.9d (53plate), My question being will I have any problems that I should be aware of up front? Do I need to modify my vehicles in any way? Im just a little wary about taking the plunge.

  • Peugeot 207 (French Cars) 19 Feb 2007 (Forum)
As for German vehicles - well, I can't afford the Golf and have heard that the Polo is pretty unreliable. So, I stumbled across the Peugeot 207. I love everything about it......my only problem is the bad press French cars receive. Not to mention the recent Topgear satisfaction survey - Peugeot came last!! Any suggestions?
  • Fiat-Peugeot vs Ford etc 6 Dec 2006 (Forum)
Over the last 6 years since I have been using my Ford Transit based motorcaravan (Motorhome) I have heard many anacdotal stories regarding the attitude of the Fiat-Peugeot group towards owners who have had the misfortune to make (or try to make) a claim under guarantee, or just after the expiry of the guarantee. The concensus of these stories is that the Fiat-Peugeot group is far less sympathetic to claims than is Ford.

He said he will ask one of his mechanical to look under the fuel tank to see if there is elyon tank (I don't know what this is) he confirmed this car doesn't have DPF.
  • Ford Fiesta/Peugeot 308 - Ford Fiesta/Peugeot 308 Engine query 30 Mar 2022 (Forum)
Hello, I am looking at buying a second hand cars, but I am not very knowledgeable about vehicle technical matters. I have recently viewed a 2011 diesel Ford Fiesta and a 2012 diesel Peugeot 308 and I noticed something in common with both of them, which didn't seem normal to me. They both seemed to have part of the engine covered in a knobbled casing which didn't look quite right. I have included photos of the individual engines and a close up of the section I am referring to in the links below, so hopefully they work!

  • Peugeot 208 - Peugeot 208 drinking oil 27 Jul 2018 (Forum)
Using about2ltrs every 4-6 weeks but no leakage or burning from the exhaust. Just got it back from the Peugeot garage where they stripped it back for me to investigate - I've been told that the pistons and valves were caked in oil and that my choice is either get the engine reconditioned (they quoted £1250 with no guarantee of solving the problem) or getting a new engine (they quoted £3000).

Hi, I've recently purchased a Peugeot 106 Diesel (year of 1995). It has a Peugeot immobiliser fitted that is deactivated via a small button (similar to a watch battery) being pushed against a pad beside the ignition switch. Unfortunately I only have one of these buttons and would like to get another just in case the one I have is lost or damaged.
