  • Prestigious cars in the classifieds 30 Jun 2011 (News)
And on top of that it’s an investment you can enjoy, thanks to the 4.7-litre Maserati V8, well trimmed cabin and impressive performance. It’s a better investment idea than something that exists as a piece of paper in a drawer and does nothing to make you smile. Lovely though an Alfa-Romeo 8C Competizione may be, the truest Italian supercar firm is without doubt Ferrari , and they too have built limited run machines that will appreciate in time, one of which is for sale in our deals section – the F430 Scuderia 16M.

  • Flywheel Festival at Bicester Heritage This Weekend 19 Jun 2017 (News)
Being sold with a considerable history and sounding superb, this fascinating ‘Prancing Horse’ alternative looks enormous fun. Other more affordable Italian exotics include an immaculate 1995 Maserati Ghibli (£8,000 - £10,000), charming 1942 Lancia Ardea (£10,000 - £12,000), a baby Aprilia complete with brilliant pillar-less monocoque and typical Lancia sliding-pillars and a 1975 Alfa Giulia Super (£14,000 - £16,000).
  • More than 100 F1 cars to race at Silverstone 5 Jul 2011 (News)
Notably, the Scarab to be driven by Julian Bronson will be racing for the first time in nearly 50 years. Aston Martin, BRM, Maserati, Cooper, Talbot, Alta and Gordini are all represented, while the magnificent ERAs from the 1930s represent the time when the small British manufacturer took on the might of German technology. Mac Hulbert and Mark Gillies will battle against the best of the 1950s cars in their ERAs, while the car of Charles McCabe is the ERA that racing journalist John Bolster famously flipped over at Silverstone in the 1949 British Grand Prix.
