Nice car but has initial problem

After just over a week of ownership the car would not start, the 12 volt battery was completely flat.

It went back to the dealer to be checked out, and after a while a faulty battery was diagnosed.

After nearly 4 weeks a new battery was fitted and the car returned.

The dealership try hard to please, but I would have thought a company of the size and resources of Toyota could have sorted my problem out quicker.

As to the car, it seems well made, very easy to drive, has lots of bells and whistles, and returns a reliable 60 MPG.

The gearbox, that a lot of motoring correspondents complain about, is a little strange at first, but you soon get used to it, and in a way, it encourages you to have a light right foot, which makes for a relaxing drive.

About reliability, only time will tell, perhaps my bad initial impression will be altered over time, I hope so.

Update.
The 12 volt battery has failed again after 6 months of ownership, now back with the dealer for further testing.
