After 15yrs and 150k miles, everything still works like new
I bought this car as a cheap to run commuter mobile and boy its good at it. The car feels powerful enough 95% of the time, but the economy 55mpg+ easily offsets this. Yes its 89bhp, but its the torque that allows it to feel quicker and it has no problem on the motorway. The ride quality is great for pot holes and its quite quiet for a non luxury car with refinement good. Being the size it is, it is small enough to park comfortably yet large enough for tip runs/travel. What I find is the real selling point is that after 150k miles, everything still looks and works like new. No rattles from the interior, no suspension rattles. The interior doesn't show any wear. The brakes, clutch and steering all have zero age related issues and work perfectly. All I can say is there is a very solid feeling to it and I wonder what sort of mileage I can get it up to. Some caveats - its serviced every 10k miles, mainly driven on motorways (80-90% of miles). Aside from tyres, discs/pads, light bulb, wipers and an a/c re-gas (wear and tear/maintenance) and a leaking condenser when we bought it, nothing has broken.
