GREAT 4 Wheel drive car that is built to be used and not to look at the badge!!

My issue is the comparison between the Forester and a Tiguan, if you call yourself honest John please be honest and compare it with a proper 4x4 not a 'soft roader'
My nephew has had 2 Tiguans now but has been stuck in snow more times than I can count, he even got stuck on a muddy grass verge so how you can compare that against the Forester which tows my horsebox over a ploughed field is beyond me, the Forester is a proper 4x4 that instils nothing but confidence when driving on wet slippery roads and across muddy fields. The Tiguan as with 99% of these so called 4x4's are totally useless off road in fact to even call some of them a 4 wheel drive is insulting. Yes the Forester is rugged and not as refined inside but would I really want to get into a plush car after walking across muddy fields in my wellies...no of course not so please give it the recognition it deserves.
Every review I read by a so called critic is damming but 99% of CUSTOMER reviews are fantastic, how come????? Make your own mind up, if you need a real 4X4 that will handle anything you can throw at it then try the Forester, if like lots of people you are buying it solely for road use then get an estate car, better to drive and most importantly far far far safer for the kids in the back.
