  Is it worth the risk?? Are Renault likely to have solved their quality problems? The C-max is nice inside though smaller. The Zafira looks OK and has 7 seats (occasionally handy) but even the Elegance model is very drab inside. There are also concerns about the dti engine. Please help. Thanks

  Hi I’m in need Of some help/advice please!! I have a T-Reg 1999 mk4 ford fiesta Zetec-S 1.25 16v At the moment my car is not idling very well and it also has a misfiring problem???? I have changed all the spark plugs and I have also put a new set of ignition leads(HT leads)on too!!

  Is the engine flush worth an Extra £35? Service includes new Ford oil grade, New filter, new plugs, new fuel filter, new pollen Filter etc. Seems reasonable? Just wondered does anybody get there engine "flushed" every service? are there benefits to this? I've read a few things online saying there a waste of time etc.

  2017 D-Max, 88,000 miles.  "Check system" & key symbol appear after 12 miles.  Key fob will not restart vehicle once engine stopped until it has been taken out of range of the car for a period - half an hour seems to work.

  Useful min: 1600 rpm (35%) (defining this as when it starts to pull hard and is useful to overtake). Useful max: 4500 rpm (100%) (the red line - it pulls all the way). My last car (1.8 Xsara VTR) Useful Min: 2600 rpm (37%) Useful max: 6500 rpm (92%) So, my diesel is useable through 65% of it's rev range, my previous petrol through 55%.

  First post, hello all. I've been offered a c-max 1.8 duratec petrol which has a few issues. Messages 'brake light fault' and 'engine systems fault' when the car is started. I've plugged an obd2 reader and originally had 3 codes, 2 of which I've sorted (dodgy coil connection and a broken cooling fan control wire) The third started as: P0571 - Cruise Control/Brake Switch 'A' Circuit Malfunction So, I investigated the two switches on the brake pedal.

  If you turn the engine off and on a few times sometimes this will sometimes correct the problem and in neutral the revs will go back to 800 or if you leave the car ticking over long enough, say 15mins this will also sometimes clear the problem, I put my diagnostic tool on it, no dtc faults were detected however on the onboard monitor test, number $56 the status was fail, with other readings of ID = 00, MOD = $10, MEAS = C77, MAX = 7D0 and MIN = ---. Any ideas what this might mean ? I took the idle control valve off and gave it a good clean in petrol, I had a spare throttle position sensor, tried that and it still behaved the same.

  Hello all,   I purchased a car from a dealer 5 days ago, since then I have noticed an issue with the o/s/f, making a noise. I booked it into a Nissan garage to have it looked at and received a report back that stated the front anti-roll bar bushes needed replacing and both o/s and n/s would need to be done, on top of that they also stated that the 12v battery was only at 50% capacity and there was an outstanding recall on the car.
