  Hi all, I recently purchased an N reg Ford Fiesta Ghia but in the (new back then) Mark 4 shape. The car has had a new engine put in which is a 1.25 Zetec-S engine. All in all, the car runs perfectly but there are a few niggling things. Occasionally, when started, the revs will drop to almost stalling point and sometimes the engine will stop.

   Neither of these seem to be made anymore and the only big one left seems to be the Chrysler GV which seems to be on its last legs (and is horrible for car tax with 207 gms of CO). Everyone seems to point to the S-Max. Does anyone have any ideas?  Need to get 3 kids in plus lots of luggage for fairly regular trips to Normandy and up north. Any ideas? Thanks Paul

  I've just posted a quick review of my early impressions of my new Fiesta Zetec S TDCI if anyone is interested - a little gem so far and could be one of the best all round cars I've owned.  (famous last words lol, will prob conk out on the way home tonight now I've jinxed it) Someting of a contrast with a 1.1 D reg example I had in the late 80's in a ghastly maroon and which had the most alarming understeer I've ever encountered.

  HI im after a car max budget of around 3k but ideally towards the 2,2.5k. mileage i probably do 6/7k at the most a year.  I need boot space and descent enough economy so 2litre would be out of the picture. was considering ford mondeo 1.6,1.8 07 onwards, mazda 1.6, possibly octavia all petrols/hatchbacks.

  According to this weeks AutoExpress, the end of this year there will be a revised Ford Focus. External styling clues from new Mondeo make it bolder and better looking IMHO. And updates to the C-MAX will be used to adapt the interior. I think this is the car the MkII Focus should have been if it ends up looking lijke the images in the magazine.
