  Diesel Expected to Double Subaru Sales 6 Mar 2008 (News)
  The arrival of the boxer diesel engine is likely to double UK sales of Subaru cars by 2010. Distributor IM Group is targeting 15,000 sales by 2010 – more than twice 2007’s level of around 7,000 units. A major growth spurt is expected this year, as Subaru enters “the busiest period in its history”, said a spokesman. Subaru’s UK sales target for 2008 is 8,500 cars – itself a big leap on 2007.

  At British Car Auctions, Blackbushe today a 61,000 mile 97R Daewoo Nubira with a/c sold for £2,975; a 50,000 mile 97R Peugeot 406 SRTI (150bhp petrol turbo) sold for £3,750; an 85,000 mile 97R Renault Laguna 1.8RT sold for £3,050; a 58,000 mile 97R VW Passat 1.8SE in metallic blue sold for £5,550; a 19,000 mile 97R Ford Puma 1.7 litre with a/c sold for £7,800; and a 31,000 mile 98S Peugeot 406LX with a/c sold for £5,250.   Rare 1969 Jensen FF in Historics 23rd November auction 17 Nov 2019 (News)
  Designed by Marcello Gandini, this fabulous example, in classic red with black interior, was supplied new in Frankfurt, Germany in September, 1974 and only recently made its way to the UK. The previous owner spent £25,000 since 2015 on refurbishments including a full engine and fuel injection system rebuild by marque specialists, a rebuilt rear axle and much more. All detailed in a comprehensive history file and the car come complete with its ‘Classiche’ paperwork.  It is estimated at £50,000 to £60,000.

  Porsche 356 Speedster to go under the hammer at Race Retro 13 Feb 2019 (News)
  Having spent most of its life in America, the Speedster was acquired by its current owner, a serious and noted collector, from an auction at Pebble Beach, California, in 2015. It was then imported into the UK and immediately entrusted to JD Classics of Mayfair for a professional conversion to right-hand drive. Today the car still retains the original engine and gearbox, making it a full matching numbers example.

  Well, the official world record is 214.967km/h (around 134mph), set by a Norwegian chap on a modified Viking T6 on Bonfire Night 2015. That made the previous record, set by Honda's Mean Mower in 2014 with its 109PS and 116mph top speed, look pretty amateurish. Still with us? Good. Anyway, Honda's now decided it wants that record back, and has announced the Mean Mower V2 with a 999cc Fireblade motorbike engine producing more than 190PS and a 'target speed' of 150mph.
