Another car from the British Heritage selection was the white Daimler 250V8, which rocketed past reserve to achieve a very respectable £15,961.

  Ford's Think electirc car, first trialled in Denmark, is coming to London. Firms will be given the chance to lease the cars as from September 2001 before the car goes on sale to the public in mid 2001.   Scrap car prices continue upward trajectory 7 Sep 2020 (News)
  New data from CarTakeBack.com , one of the largest scrap car recycling networks in the UK, show that average prices were up by around one per cent compared to August 2019.  By the end of August, a 16-year-old Ford Fiesta had an average scrap value of £151, while a 15-year-old Vauxhall Astra was worth £147. Average values are expected to continue their upward trajectory, as the scrap car market recovers from the Covid-19 lockdown.

  A new Hyundai i20 will go on sale in May 2020 with fresh technology, bold looks and prices expected to start from around £14,500. Set to compete against the popular Ford Fiesta as well as value alternatives like the Skoda Fabia and Kia Rio, the new i20 will be sold in the UK solely with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 100PS. This uses a 48-volt mild-hybrid system to provide an improvement of fuel economy of around three per cent, says Hyundai - although official MPG figures are yet to be confirmed.
