  With the recent news that radio station Classic fm will be dropping their DAB coverage for the newer DAB+ (though seemingly keeping FM for now), I was wondering how many newer (non-high end) cars actually come equipped with DAB+ at all or at least can be easily and cheaply adapted / upgraded to accept the new radio system?

  Does this need an adaptor to connect to my head unit which has an old fashioned antenna socket? The radio head unit is the original factory Mercedes Benz 'Special' Becker AM/ FM radio/ cassette which is fairly descent set. The car is a W463. I am in Estonia so cannot just pop down to Halfords unfortunately.

  Very odd, as I wouldn\'t expect that sort of thing to be read, as this is the bog-standard screen showing date, radio and time and temp. Finally, I\'m looking into changing the radio for a nice Blaupunkt one. I can get a display link for the Astra G and not the F. If I change the radio, will the date still show when the radio is on, or will it be blank.

  I have a problem which stops the Radio, interior lights, and rear central locking from operating.  Had a similar issue before which was put down to the alarm sounder at that time all of these functions would work until the rear window heater was turned on this time they just do not operate.

  I have a GOlf3 GL but its radio broke. I replaced it with a used one that goes into a Golf4 and it works (after I tied the pin 5 to pin 7 for the SAFE supply). However, now my central locking is confused. Before the installation it would give a short honk when I lock the car and all doors are closed and the door LED blinks very short.

  After I had a new Aircon compressor fitted, my Head unit (Ford original) started turning its self off by its self, which kills the Aircon, I also get the Square box on the radio display telling me it will turn off in 60 minutes While the engine is running, only use to get this when the radio was turned on when parked and engine not running. After about half hour to an hour I can turn it back on.

  Looking to buy a new radio/CD for SWMBO new shape Beetle. I want to incorporate Bluetooth rather than having a separate device. Would also prefer it to be able to copy the phonebook to the radio as well. Finally, ideally like one that had full ipod control as well but failing that, it must have a front mounted aux socket.

  Engine size:- 1800 Year:-2002 I just replaced my rover 75 car battery. I have a synphony radio installed and the unit has just come up with the code EP E02 for some reason...no matter what I try nothing seems to let me get to the code, so i can put the code for the radio in. please, any suggestions?

  I have developed a problem with my 206. The indicatirs have stopped working and so have the electric windows. I had an issue with the radio, so pulled the fuses to find out which one was for the radio. I think I have pulled a fuse for the BSI unit cos since then the problems have arisen. How do I get the rear cover off the BSI unit and is it simple enough to get reprogrammed?

  I am trying to replace bulbs in centre console that illuminate multifunction display, ie outside temp, radio station, time, date etc. Do I need to remove CD player before moving centre consul out. If so I am struggling to remove?? So far I have removed tray below radio cd player and torque screws behind ashtray and cigar lighter.

  I bought a Ford Focus TDCi Ghia estate 02 plate via an auction trader. It had a "4000 RDS" radio cassette stereo system, with steering column controls. The trader kindly replaced this with a "6000 CD RDS E-ON" radio CD player, but said he could NOT connect this to the steering column controls.

  Help! I have blown the fuse for the radio in my car! The fuse at the back of the radio is o.k but it still won't work ! I have had a look at all the fuses in the fuse box at the front o/s under the bonnet. Is there another fuse box somewhere else ?

  My local car hifi people said that it would be about £140 + VAT fitted and the local VW dealer said £20 + half an hour labour totalling about £50! Does it really take 1/2 hour and do I need all the tools to take out the radio to attach to the back of the radio etc... thanks in advance
