   I am looking at DPF free models as don't really want to fork out 1k at around 100k (will be buying 2nd hand with around 60-80k on the clock) I've had a few problems with my mazda 6 so want to move to a Jap brand with minimal/no European influence as reliability is incredibly important. The current shortlist: Honda civic (old model) with the 1.7cdti OR the type-s with the 2.0 i-vtec Honda Accord with the 2.2 cdti OR with the 2.0 i-vtec Mazda 3 sport which has the 2.0 MZR engine When buying I will be looking for FSH (evidence of cambelt change with 1.7cdti).

  Hi folks, I am a very pleased owner of a Mazda 6 Sport which I got new back in 2005. Over the next 6 months I'm hoping to trade it in for a new hatchback of similar size. The reason is purly for something new and for something with an autobox. (6speed is becoming a bore!)

  I've been driving for nearly 20 years, never had a accident, not even a ding, until 2 weeks ago. I drive a H reg Mazda MX5/Eunos, MK1. Had it for about 18 months, slowly doing it up. recently put in a new gearbox, new clutch, new springs all round, and just added a new(ish) vinyl roof - basically its a project car that is used on a regular basis.

  I own a 1.6l Petrol 05 Plate Mazda 3 with just under 60,000 miles on the clock that over the last few months has been causing a few headaches: Recently whilst waiting at lights or in traffic jams I have found that the engine seems to be vibrating a lot more than usual, to the extent that at times it feels like the engine is about to stall, this occurs whether the car is in neutral as well as it's in gear with the clutch depressed.

  At the time it was seen as the future and a major advancement to the internal combustion engine. What happened? I know that Mazda make a car with a rotary engine, but if it had such potential why was it not truly developed on a larger scale? I am not a mechanical engineer but the concept sounds very good.   Hello, I am 31 yo, would like to buy my first car and will be doing 8-10k annually. My budget is around 5k. I have found a 5 yo approved used Mazda 2 with 60k mileage on the clock. The insurance will come around £1600. If I increase my budget to 6k, I might buy a new suzuki alto or dacia sandero. Which one would be a better choice?

  Ive got around a £3k budget, wife and 2 kids, commute to work about 30 miles a day and the usual pottering around.  Ive looked at Mazda 6 as they seem cheapish and could possibly get up to an 05 for the budget, BMW 316/8 on a 52 plate but have hit a block on anything else.  Any thoughts and suggestion would be appreciated.

  Hi there folks.  I've got a mazda 6 and i've been using castrol magnatec since i've had it (around a year now) under the premise is was fully synthetic and really good quality - after doing some reading last few days - clearly I was wrong!

  I have a mate selling his avensis - 03/53 plate with104k on the clock and FSH - and he's letting me have it at a knock-down price Although I love my (petrol) mazda 6 - looking at the fuel saving with this avensis is making it tempting for me (I do 22k miles a year)

  Looking outside much earlier this frosty morning(baby stuff)i took note of my neighbours choice of transport and it seems Japanese is the most popular on our street,we have an Accord, two houses to the left both have Civics,two to right a Jazz and another Civic,over the way a CRV and a Mazda 6 this across a wide age range 30 to 80. We have a few BMW's but a distinct lack of anything French,anything dominate your street ?
