  Hello I have a 2.0 litre petrol 1998 carina with a single point lovato LPG system. When I switch to LPG from Petrol, the car will run on idle briefly, and the car will then stall. When trying to accelerate, it will accelerate to about 2000 rpm or so and then the engine loses power and stalls.

  Im looking to purchase a van for my small business and a ford connect is what im thinking of getting. I have come across a 53 reg 103k miles Connect with bi-fuel petrol and lpg at £2,795. Im liking the idea of it being lpg due to it being alot cheaper. The thing is i know nothing about lpg or bi-fuel vehicles. So i could do with some advice.   Thanks

  According to my calculations thats about 10mpg on LPG. I assumed I would be getting about 250-300 miles at least on a tank of LPG. Could any of you advise me as to what problems there could be? Many Thanks Boxer

  The rest of the system is very similar to a petrol installation. Performance was impressive, being able to switch between LPG and diesel on the move - the performance increase when running on LPG was immediatley apparrent. Noise was no different, if a little quieter. The diesel fuelling is apparently dialled back and LPG is fed in, resulting in a real dual-fuel vehicle with a terrific range.

  I had a 3.2 Touareg converted to LPG about six months ago. Cardiff Autogas did a great job of lifting the rear floor so that the tank was covered and installing...

  What fuel should the car be emmisions tested on? Its registered as petrol (too early to be taxed as LPG). Previous years its been Petrol, this year LPG, with the certificate saying LPG? Is this anygood to me, should Plod request to see my docs? Finally (yes it was a bad day) They had a poster for special offer on wheel trims £30 for 4 (usually £50).

  I recently contacted ASDA by email who are about to open a new supermarket in Dumfries, asking whether they intend to sell LPG at the new included service station. My enquiry generated a phone call from a member of their staff who informed me verbally that NO LPG facility would be provided.... and furthermore ASDA were seriously considering REMOVING all present LPG pumps at their existing stores.

  Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone can offer me some advice before I start spending like a maniac. I have an Alfa Romeo 147 TS Lusso with an LPG Conversion. I have an unusual problem where sometimes the car will not switch over to LPG. It will attempt to but fails and cuts out, this sometimes happens from a cold start (I will be driving along and all of a sudden it will just cut out) or if the car has just switched over to LPG and then turned off and left for 10 - 15 mins (The car will start but after a few seconds it will just cut out) I have to turn the LPG off immediately and drive on Petrol (on one occasion, I was going around a bend and it decided not to switch to LPG and almost caused me to crash!)

  Hi, I know nothing about LPG apart from that is it cheaper than petrol/diesel, cleaner and that you need to get a good conversion. I ask as I wondered what the pros and cons would be of converting a CRV to LPG? As I say, I know next to nothing about LPG conversions so would welcome any thoughts from those in the know.

  My car (Scenic 1.6 16valve) uses about 7.5p worth of petrol per mile at about 42mpg. What would be the likely cost using LPG (ignoring capital cost of installation).

  Hi i have lpg 2lt petrol motorehome van i let the lpg go very low and now once i have filled up again it is not running very good on lpg keeps switching back to petrol on low revs this has no injectors its carburator single port there dose not look like there is any isolation for gas at the tank as i was going to remove the solinoid filter complet replace with new think it could be a fillter blocked but this could not be the case could any one please help.

  i bought my jag a few years ago and it was already converted to LPG. I ve never had any problems with it but recently when am driving on gas my petrol is being used to, so its costing me much more as am using petrol and gas. So if theres anyone that can help with advice id be very grateful.
