Hello all, im a newbie to this site but have been reading a lot of relevent posts regarding the mazda 6. I as the title suggests, have a 2008 Mazda 6 2.0 Diesel (Chassis JMZGH.....) and for the past year have been having increasing problems with the power of my car. For the first two years it worked fantastically, the fuel consumption was fantastic. -
Mazda CX-5 - Buying Advice 18 Apr 2020 (Forum)
Any opinions on choice of car for our situation would be welcome. I’m aware there are other good options in this class, but the Mazda is leading at the moment as it appears to tick all the boxes and I like the look. 2. A lot of the reviews suggest the diesel is the best choice. The petrol engines are not turbocharged and reviewers often complain they feel a bit sluggish. -
MX5 MK3 / 3.5 - MX5 MK3 / 3.5 Bike rack / tow bar ? 22 Dec 2014 (Forum)
I have asked Mazda re the MX 5 and tow bar fitting / bike racks – but they say that they can't advise me. I've asked them about the MK4 MX5 that’s out in 2015, but again Mazda UK say that they do not know / cannot help. -
Mazda MX-5 - Deeply Flattened Car Battery, Revival Techniques ? 7 May 2014 (Forum)
My Brother in Law has owned a 1.8 litre Mazda MX-5 since new, first reg 2005 but the original Panasonic Gel Battery has become so deeply discharged that none of the usual battery revival techniques seem to be effective. The car is left for weeks at a time unused with the alarm armed and as a result the battery becomes deeply discharged. -
Mazda 626 (1997 - 1999) - 98 2.0 Failed MOT, testing sensors 15 Aug 2009 (Forum)
The exhaust and catalyst are probably original, as there is no record of the change. There is a full service history until 3 years ago when I gave up on Mazda service centres, in disgust. I would like to know what is the likely problem before taken to cleaners at Mazda service centre, as I tried all London ones over the last 10 years and was not happy. -
Getting dealer to fix faulty Mazda 20 Dec 2003 (Forum)
I bought a 'T' Reg Mazda 323 (1.5 engine) on 11 November from an independent dealer. The car had 32,000 miles, 1 previous owner and a FSH. Within a day or so two faults became apparent: (1) jerky throttle response and intermittent flat spots - lifting off the throttle would sometimes result in either too much loss of speed (felt like engine braking was coming into play even if I lifted off at 40 mph in 5th gear) or slight 'run on'. (2) brakes squealing when applied at low speed (eg when inching forward in a traffic queue. -
A most reliable car 17 Dec 2002 (Forum)
It is definitely the poor relative of the fleet but doesn't seem to care. All I can say is let's hope Mazda goes on making cars like this. -

Anyone know if it's possible to replace a centre seat lapbelt with a 3-point inertia reel in the middle row of a Mazda MPV? Would an independant company do it or is it DIY? Any help appreciated. -

Best pandemic Period Car Deals 5 Jul 2020 (Forum)
Just because I was bored, I looked up on the Mazda wesbite to see what, if any, deals could be had for new or delivery miles showroom/pre-regged cars, not that I really can afford a new one (I technically can, but I really shouldn't at the moment, given I'm not working/earning). -
Mazda 5 - Driving written off car 6 Nov 2015 (Forum)
Hi Everyone My 07 reg Mazda 5 was hit whilst it was parked and there is some damage near the back driver side corner (cosmetic - bumper and tailgate damaged- no protruding parts or damage to the lighting) but the car still drives without any issue. -
Mazda 6 - Passenger air bag deactivated 11 Jan 2012 (Forum)
Hello everyone, I am just hoping a few of you may be able to help me out. I have a 2003 Mazda 6 and the airbag light fails to illuminate at all once the key is turned, it just does nothing. This used to come on momentarily (doing it’s check) and then go off, however now it will not come on at all. -
Mazda 6 TS2 2.0d (2008) - Release bearing/Gearbox issues 28 Nov 2011 (Forum)
Hi All, Long time reader, first time questioner! I'm looking at buying a Mazda6 TS2 2.0d (2008) with 49k on the clock from a local mazda dealer. Test drove the car and love it, but it was making a fairly harsh sqealing noise throughout the drive. Car has been sat on a forecourt for a while, so I figured nothing serious (lubrication issues or maybe the cambelt needed tightening) but asked them to sort it and I'd re-test drive it before I confirmed anything. -
Mazda 121 - 1.3 - 1996 - Draining Battery 25 Feb 2011 (Forum)
Its the other of the smaller cables that directly earths out, it disappears under the Engine bay fuse box, I guess it the main power source... But I do not know this for sure. I don't know if it has any bearing, but the Mazda/Ford Handbook says.. When starting the car using jump leads, Connect the positive, but connect the negative to the body work, not the negative terminal.. seems strange. I have dismantled some of the interior and checked the loom path along the off-side.-- no obvious broken cables. -
Mazda MPV 2002 - Discovered fault after 3 weeks, where do I stand. 5 May 2010 (Forum)
Just over three weeks ago we purchased a late 2002 Mazda MPV. All was well until yesterday when we couldn't get any warm air from the heater. I checked the coolant level and found the header tank empty and it took a litre to refill, after which we started to get warm air back through the heater - obviously there wasn't sufficient coolant in the system to feed the heater matrix. -
Mazda 121 (1996 - 2000) - 96 1.3 - Intermittent Clutch 20 Mar 2009 (Forum)
Hi, If anyone can give any advice I'd be very grateful I have a 96 Mazda 121 (it's a rebadged Mk4 Fiesta) that has an intermittent clutch problem. Most time the car runs fine and gear changes are fine, easy and smooth, everything as normal. Sometimes, after the car is parked and turned off, when I start the car and press the clutch in, I can't select a gear. -
Mazda 3 mini road test 29 Jun 2006 (Forum)
I've just come back from Israel on business and was given a MAzda 3 by the rental co. I think it was a 1.6 with a four speed tiptronic auto. Overall impressions were good. smart shape, good sized boot (if a little awkward to access), reasonably spacious inside (three grown men in for two out of three days).
