MR2 - Tyre problem 9 May 2001 (Forum)
She then took the car to the Toyota dealership and they performed a 4-wheel alignment test and discovered that the front wheels were out of alignment. However, although the dealership have done this, she is still worried that there may still be an underlying problem because of the nature of the wear on the tyres. -

As does the engine mounts. The car has been raised off the ground and run to experience the vibration. On result of this, what was evident was the front right wheel was rotating slightly oval shape. But almost all drive train parts have been replaced. -
Should I fit a pair of winter tyres to the front or rear wheels of my BMW 320D Touring? 2 Nov 2010 (Ask HJ)
If I were to purchase a couple of winter tyres for my BMW 320D Touring, would I be best served fitting them to the front or rear wheels? -
Pug 306 diesel, fuel temp regulator 29 Jul 2005 (Forum)
The fuel heater circuit is below the plastic filter housing (seperated by a large o-ring) and is cast into the base of the metal coolant heated base. Those with a haynes manual can see a pretty good picture of this in the diesel fuel/coolant section. The pattern of flow can be seen running between 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock (if it were the face of a clock), in a spiral pattern to maximise the heat transfer form the coolant circuit to the fuel flow circuit. -
Imbalanced wheels - vibrations and noise? 16 Nov 2019 (Forum)
Hi I'm wondering if anyone could shed some light on this for me? I recently had to replace my front tyre with used / part worn. Before getting that done, although a very old car, it was pretty smooth. After the change, I noticed there was some vibration through the seat, floor and steering wheel. -
Passat B5.5 front balljoints - costly! 11 Jun 2015 (Forum)
Just a quick heads-up to any other Passat B5.5 (MY2000 to MY2005) owners -- be ready for a bigger bill than expected if it fails the MOT on the front upper suspension arm ball joints. My 2003 car (51,000 miles) has failed on ONE ball joint but the entire upper arm assembly on that side has had to be removed to drill out the pinchbolt, which is corroded in place. -
Tow bar height, caravan weight, rear suspension 8 Sep 2001 (Forum)
The suspensionon on my Volvo 940 estate, when unloded, is a good 2 inches lower at the rear than it is at the front. Will this be a problem when towing a caravan {70 kgs down force}, should I up rate the suspension, can I fit stiffer / longer rear shocks / springs. Should the rear suspension, not be a good 2 inches higher on the rear, than the front, on an unloaded tow car, so that the suspension is level front and rear with the caravan fitted. -

Caravans - What happened to car roof top aerofoils 20 Mar 2009 (Forum)
Those things like a wing on car roofs that caravaners used to sport. They were supposed to reduce the overall drag of the outfit. You still see them on lorry tractor cabs, but I can't remember when I last saw one on a car. Were they banned for some reason? -
New Vectra is Uglyyyyyyyyyyy 2 Oct 2002 (Forum)
Now that I have seen more of these on the road, I have to say that this is one of the most ugly cars on the road. The front looks like a giant Focus (bad enough in itself)and the back end looks like one of those dreadful Kia executive cars from a few years ago. The front windows make the driver look like they have been shoehorned in, and all drivers of these cars look very uncomfortable. -

Ford Focus Airbags Going Off 25 Jun 2006 (Forum)
Does anybody know what the minimum speed required is to set off both airbags of a Ford Focus in a front end collision? I was hit on the rear of my car by a focus which fired off both his airbags and he claims he was only doing 30mph is this possible? The impact was focused in on his passenger side front wing and bonet. -
Dead bug removal - suitable product 27 Sep 2004 (Forum)
Evening. Washing the car today and I have a rash of dead bugs from the summer all over my front bumper and the front of the bonnet. Using my normal shampoo (Carplan Triplewax) doesn't shift them and I've also tried a little Autoglym tar remover but no joy there either. -
Vectra front bumper removal - 2000 model 23 Sep 2003 (Forum)
I hit a rabbit a while ago and ever since then the bumper has been slightly out of alignment with the nearside wing and also a bit wobbly. I'm might selling the car shortly and don't really want to go to the expense of a workshop manual for it. TIA.
