MOT "failure" Mercedes A Class 2007 2 Feb 2021 (Forum)
My car went in for its MOT on Tuesday. After about an hour, the service advisor came over "I'm afraid your car has failed, the front washers aren't working" Me: "They are, I've used them this morning and I had a new pump and nozzles last year" "Okay I'll go and speak to the tester" 5 minutes later she came back asking if the front washers are operated by twisting the end of the stalk? -

Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 1999 1.8 Front brake noise 11 Oct 2008 (Forum)
I had new front discs and pads fitted to my Ford Focus last November at a main Ford dealer in Devon. However during the MOT in July it was found that the front discs were distorted so the car failed. As I had 12 months guarantee on the brakes fitted last November I went back to them and said they shouldn't have gone after only 4000 miles. -

How does he do this ???? 7 Oct 2002 (Forum)
Neighbours advised the Police of this on numerous occasions, each time there was no sign of any action. On one occasion, whilst walking the dog, I myself observed a marked Police car with one officer. The officer drove up to the van, examined the windscreen then returned to the car and drove off. Again there was no sign of any action. For the last two years the van, though in regular use, has not been taxed at all. -
Has the service actually been done? 31 Oct 2001 (Forum)
This makes me wonder what else they 'forgot' to do. My wife had a similar experience at a Nissan garage: car came back from the Main Dealer service with the windscreen washer bottle empty. Refilling this was part of the service. Stupid bloke at the garage tried to convince us that he could 'guarantee' that everything else had been done. -
