Guess now Im finding out that I have been ripped off, exactly a day after my months warranty has run out. Took a ten minute trip not going any more than 40mph and noticed that the car seemed to be over heating (no lights came on just noticed dial was reading hotter than usual). When i had a look i couldnt see coolant level clearly but could hear a slight hissing noise. Popped into local halfords and they wasnt very helpful so i drove home with my heating on full blast trying not to let it get too hot. -
Citroen DS3 - Temp engine fault 29 Aug 2023 (Forum)
My 2012 Ds3 suddenly flashed up temp engine fault and the fan came on constantly while driving but coolant was fine and the engine wasn’t actually over heating. As these cars have form, the temperature sensor has been changed including the casing, the water pump is ok, the resistor on the fan has been changed and still it has the fault. The car isn’t overheating and it drives fine it’s just the fault light is still there and the fan runs constantly. anyone have any experience with this??? -

Even on standard road/summer tyres, the traction is phenomenal - even when you think it won’t go any further, just hold a steady 1500/2000rpm and it’ll usually find grip by braking individual wheels. Inside, it’s a big step forward from the previous car, with good connectivity, climate control, heated seats etc. The only thing I can’t comment upon is it’s on road performance, as I simply haven’t driven it far enough. After four days, my car has an average speed of 4mph!
