  We had a mailing from a dealer (not our regular one) about it, who are also offering to pay double this premium back to us if we 'change' our car at their garage. Makes the possible C6 slightly more realistic.

  I intend to contact VW today to follow this up, but there is an urgency to this now because the used car warranty (such as it is) runs out on Saturday. Also, the car is booked in for its MOT the same day! I need to know if any of the above is grounds for an MOT failure and/or an urgent safety issue.

  Bought a used car through Facebook market and we made a mistake.   On inspection we figured out there was something wrong with one part of car but we were not sure. We offered X amount but seller offered X + £500 with 6 month's warranty on if something major fault comes up in car.

  I bought Mazda6/2009/2.2/Diesel/TS2/45K from Mazda Used Car Dealer with 1yr Mazda Approved Used Car warranty on 8/02/15. MOT was regular always done at Mazda dealers. Last MOT was dated on 01/12/2014. While I was driving back from work on 18/03/2015 oil light started blinking like signal light and car started losing power.

  , and after phoning the dealer he suggested taking the car down to our local Mercedes dealer to get the power steering fixed. She had been told before being sold the warranty by the dealer that the warranty covered repairs at a main dealer. However upon phoning the warranty people they said they would only cover labour up to 25 pounds/hour, therefore we would have to pay the labour excess if the car was repaired at a main dealer.

  This morning, I checked the car in more detail, including the Service Book. It had one service recorded in it - the one the dealer said had been done as part of their package when selling a used car. The car was a proper Ford Service Book, but there was no history of any other service.

  Hello I am looking for my next used car on the private market.  I have never used an extended warranty before, wondered if it would be worth it, and what other people's experiences were, good and bad. As 10-year old cars are so much more money to buy these days it makes things quite a bit more risky.

  I thought this might justify a new thread. On another thread a poster is choosing between a Fiesta and Hyundai as new car choice. They are probably both good cars, and will no doubt give good service to whoever buys. For us there would have been only one choice here, and that would have been the Hyundai, the unlimited mileage 5 year warranty would have clinched the choice for me.

  AA warranty told us to take it to Halfords Autocenter, no one advised not to drive it and to recover it there and Halford Autocenter took it to a test drive to a point it needs a new engine. I think we all know that the Halfords guys too it to a test drive till it destoryed the engine but theres no way of proving it apart from when we had the car we could drive it for 10 miles or more without cutting out.

  hoping someone can help?? we bought the car (2004 5 series) on the 15th sept 2012 from a local dealer for £7500. it had aprox 85500 miles on it with full service history. the dealer gave us a 3 month warranty. during the warranty period the fuel pump failed and was replaced under warranty. eleven days after warranty ended,the turbo,starter motor AND alternator all failed!!

  There they told us that the battery was dead and we needed a new one, we said that it's under warranty but they said no. Eventually we had to buy a new one for 156e. But, we took the old one with us to UK. Trouble is can't get refund from Citroen.
