  Hi All Recently had problems with the heating and air blowing through the vents in the car (1.0 ltr 07 plate corsa) happened 3 times (water leak somehere)   Then this weekend oil light has come on and been told that the oil is like water    Thinks there is a possible head gasket failure on the way.

  Out of the blue the engine started to overheat. ^5mph heading up the A9. Pulled car over & allowed to cool down. Opened overflow/expansion tank, turned over engine & left running, air bubbles/bubbling in coolant so water pump must be working? If not that, has it blown the head gasket, hence the over heating or is there something else wrong?

  How much to repair the following - dealer and/or otherwise? Toyota Avensis 2000X New Shape. Passenger Side mirror totally wrecked whilst parked up in a car park. No casing or anything left to salvage (just the remnants of the mirror!!). Great start to Christmas by some inconsiderate so-and-so. The car is undamaged otherwise, ie the bit that is stuck to the car is OK, the plastic bit that swivels in and out has just, effectively, gone!

  i require a new front pipe with flexi for my exhaust, my friend had a look under my car and told me it's welded to the CAT. He told me if he removed the front pipe i would require a new CAT aswell, is this right? Is there no way of saving the CAT?

  I need to  fit 2 new rear tyres. I thought that I should put the new tyres on the front and switch the existing front tyres (which have plenty tread)  on to the rear. The car being a front wheel drive I always thought that the tyres with most tread should be on the front. However I have been informed that I should fit the new tyres on the rear.

  Lately I've been aware of a graunchy creaking noise when I go over sleeping policemen or similar humps. I assume that it's the front suspension although I can't reproduce the noise by leaning on the front of the car. I guess I'll have to take to the local garage but I thought I'd check with you guys first to see what maybe the problem.

  I have a VW MK2 Golf 1300. The front passenger side tyre is wearing more on the outside compared to the inside. I do not believe that this wheel is unbalanced as a different wheel that was used previously on the front passenger side also had the same problem - tyre wearing more on the side.

  Hi all, As you all know my son has today become the owner of a MK1 golf 1600 diesel. His chioce not mine. He a student heading to uni! He asked me today that will any car front seats fit anothers. His grand plan is that he has seen some leather seats from a rover. I think its a rover 800 and he wants to fit the seats to his golf. Is this transfer possible or cant it be done?

  Hi, I'm looking to buy my first car(previously drove my mom's Honda crv) I'm a big and tall guy so I like my space, I noticed that some of the smaller cars I have trouble getting in and out of (inside room is fine just getting in and out) This will be my first car so not looking to spend too much, was thinking a focus hatchback 2007-2010 or golf again 2007 to 2010, and then a octavia or passat 2007 to 2010, I've noticed that 3 door cars seem bigger but just wondering if the front seat is bigger/more roomy, I'm opened to any car suggestions you may have for cars, 1.6 petrol max (insurance purposes) I was also looking at the citroen c4, 3 door version, it looks quite roomy in the front,  Anyways, welcoming all feedback and suggestions, thanks :)
