Astra front suspension noise - plonker
Lately I've been aware of a graunchy creaking noise when I go over sleeping policemen or similar humps. I assume that it's the front suspension although I can't reproduce the noise by leaning on the front of the car. I guess I'll have to take to the local garage but I thought I'd check with you guys first to see what maybe the problem. As a retired bloke I hope it's not going to be an arm and a leg job!

More than likely a dry rubber suspension or anti-roll bar bush.

It could be a fractured spring or leaking damper.

Road humps do seem to be taking their toll on vehicles, despite official denial, and Astras, among others, do seem vulnerable.
