  • Mazda 6 2.0 Diesel 2006 123550 miles. - Mazda6 EM Light is on 19 Jun 2015 (Forum)
Side note, the DPF has been removed so i know its not that thats blocked. So my thoughts are: - - How do i find out the engine code without going into mazda and bending over at the counter? - Does anyone have a list of engine codes? - Could the CAT be blocked or causing the issue? - Could the EGR be blocked or clogged. Engine has always run fine and not nasty knocks or bangs at cold or hot.
  • Mazda 3 - Diesel engine 'ticking' 14 Oct 2014 (Forum)
I love driving, yet know very little about cars, therefore seek your help. Greatly appreciated.  It seems, as of lately, my Mazda 3, 1.6. diesel engine is making some 'ticking' noise. Worries me alot. I had hard time telling where is it precisely coming from, yet I'm almost certain it's the engine, for that when I slighly rev it 'ticking' proportionaly intesifies.
  • Mazda 3 - A-pillar/Door Rattling Noise 2014 Mazda3 19 Jul 2014 (Forum)
I found similar stories on the US Mazda3revolution.com forum so booked car in -mentioning the TSB for good measure . The dealer also found the Mazda TSB (Subject Rattle noise from Bottom of A Pillar Bulletin 09-001/14) which states a clearance is needed between the wiper bracket and the cowl.dash panel.  The service manager was surprised that a gap of 0.5-1mm was all that was required.

  • Mazda 3 1.6 petrol manual (2006 55 plate) - Gear changing problems 21 May 2012 (Forum)
I realise this could be simple matter of a worn clutch, but I would like some advice - my Mazda 3 1.6 petrol manual (2006 55 plate) often lurches a bit when changing gear - the biting point of the clutch is very small, hence why I thought it might be a worn clutch.  The car's done about 40k, mostly out-of-town/motorway driving (relatively low mileage due to working locally for 3 years).
  • Mazda 6 estate ts 09 plate - Help my engine has decided to blow itself apart! 12 Feb 2011 (Forum)
It had done just under 60,000 miles. It's an arval lease car. I missed the last service by 6000 miles due to my work schedule and Mazda are charging me £8000 for the repair as I have invalidated the warrantee. Is this acceptable? If there is a common engine fault should I have to pay as I thought the vehicle should be fit for purpose?
  • Mazda Xedos 6 (1992 - 1998) - 92 2.0 Kangaroo petrol 18 Jan 2011 (Forum)
I'm hoping these are symptoms of something obvious that I'm just unfamiliar with. Since we've had Mazdas, I've got very rusty on fault diagnosis... TIA JBJ
  • Mazda 6 - LPG Conversion massive increase in fuel use 12 Jan 2011 (Forum)
Happy New Year to all, Just before Christmas I had my Mazda 6 (38-42mpg for 6 months prior to conversion) converted to LPG by a local dealer who has converted 4 previous cars for me without problems. Since this conversion, though, the consumption of both petrol and gas is very lame, at about 21-23mpg.
  • Mazda 323 (1998 - 2003) - Changed my car again! 9 Jun 2008 (Forum)
The latest addition is petrol again-but given the horrendous price difference my way in the last month I don't think its really relevent. The car is the 53 plate Mazda 323 2.0 sport, 25k miles, full MSH and I love it! Whilst the focus always seemed like just a car, this seems to have some character and brings a smile to my face! For anyone unfamiliar to the model, it seems to have pretty much every piece of kit (apart from sat nav) fitted known to man-I especially like having an electric sunroof AND climate control so have the option of how to ventilate myself!!
  • Mazda 626 (1987 - 1991) - Why is my fuel consumption so good? 6 Jun 2008 (Forum)
Strange topic I know, but 7 months ago I bought a Mazda 626 2.0 SE petrol 134bhp (manual) with 96k on the clock. I drive in a 'spirited' fashion when road conditions allow, have no qualms about overtaking queues of slower traffic on A roads when safe to do so, and cruise on motorways at 85mph.
  • Mazda 323 (1998 - 2003) - Shell V-Power Diesel 27 Mar 2008 (Forum)
As far as getting a bit better mpg is concerned I haven't really experienced it but I'm quite happy with the mpg my mazda is returning. So I think I'll stick to v-power diesel for now. Just would like to know what others think of it and if anyone prefers v-power diesel over bp ultimate or vice versa?
  • Mazda CX-7 Road Test 24 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Are Mazda serious? As quoted from HJ 'Sportscar on Stilts' with combined MPG of 27.7, £400 VED p.a.,Kerb weight 1,770kg. , hard suspension. Did this one slip through as the last of the gas guzzlers, do they take no notice of current trends, of exponentially rising taxes direct & indirect, on vehicles especially of this type?
  • Mazda 323 1998 (ZXi V6 2L) 24 Nov 2006 (Forum)
Wait a few minutes and the car starts again no problem. The car has been taken to 2 different garages - the latter one being a Mazda approved mechanic - and both have looked at the car and its computer with their diagnostic tools and come up with nothing. As far as they can make out there is nothing wrong with the car. I'm a bit stuck as some web searching has revealed a couple of things it *might* be but it's a lot of money to gamble getting some serious work done on the car for it to still not work.
  • Mazda3 Rear number plate light assembly 12 Mar 2006 (Forum)
This indicated to me that they were holes for mounting 'something'. I contacted my local dealer, who passed the query on to the Mazda technical people (not in Japan). Both indicated this was normal, and that Mazda did not pay much attention to the finish of that area in general. This seemed strange to me, considering their reputation for quality.
  • Mazda 323 v Ibiza/Civic/Corolla/Almera 16 May 2005 (Forum)
Ideally the car will be up to 5 years old but she wants a 5 door hatch (kids to carry); up to a 1.6 engine; it must be cheapish to run/insure; fun to drive and above all reliable. Top of the current list is the Mazda 323 but she's also considering the Seat Ibiza (but with a list of possible faults/problems as long as my phone bill I'm not convinced), Toyota Corolla, Honda Civic and Nissan Almera. There is no rush as she doesn't use the car all that often and we'd both rather she got the right car and kept it for some time so, if there are any 323 owners out there (past or present) what's the car and ownership experience like.
  • Mazda MX-6 12 Apr 2001 (Forum)
I currently drive a mazda mx-6 (as the subject indicates) and find it a very fun drive (although the cabin is a bit rattly) on a 94M with 77k. I have read the manual and spec which states that it is a 60 litre fuel tank.
  • Mazda MX 5 RF - Rust proofing. 2 Jul 2025 (Forum)
I bought a 2019 MX 5 6 months ago and I'm very pleased with it. I have since heard stories about all MX 5's being prone to rust because they aren't...
  • MAZDA 3 1.6 PETROL 2010 TS2 - abs LIGHT 4 Jun 2018 (Forum)

  • Mazda 3 2014 Sport Nav - Clutch Issue 3 Mar 2017 (Forum)
Evening all, Letting out the clutch when in 1st and changing to 2nd gear rarely results in a smooth uptake of drive (car jerks backwards and forwards)...
  • Renault Laguna III (2007 - ) - Can the new Laguna be trusted 24 Jan 2016 (Forum)
It was a 1.5Dci and yes I was very impressed with it. Smooth quiet and incredibly economical. Our 4 year old Mazda MPV is beginning to cost money and my wife (who drives the Mazda) would like a change. Reports on the last Laguna were dreadful (some garages wouldn't touch them). Should be be tempted by a new Laguna Sport Tourer 1.5Dci or should we look at a Mondeo or Octavia?
