  I continued my journey to Sussex having been reassured that the plod who pulled me did not intend to lurk round the corner and pull me again, and came back to London the next day keeping my fingers crossed. Then I took the car to the indy mechanic I use, knowing that it might need a windscreen - there was a ten-inch crack on the passenger side - and a bit of welding on one of the sills. Got the windscreen from not-Autoglass for about half the autoglass price, less indeed.

  Fire-resistant fabric is very wet. I sloshed water over the windscreen and then checked inside. The water comes through very quickly into the cabin. My thoughts on the source are: 1) Possible blocked drainage causing backup of water 2) Pollen filter / cover(I know this is a common fault) 3) Windscreen seal failure - although it's the original screen Any thoughts on how I can proceed with determining the point of entry and any other sources of the leak?

  Hi, Can any one shed any light on this problem.. Car is petrol 1987 Mazda B2000 pickup I got fed up with lack of heat from heater and suspected the thermostat which I replaced yesterday. On drive home there was very little if any improvement in heater output.

  The windscreen wipers on my 1993 Audi S2 have gone barmy - specifically the intermittent position. When I switch the wipers to intermittent I get anything from a single wipe to 20 wipes before it pauses. It will then do the same again, but with a different number of wipes.
