  • Peugeot 306 Problem2 9 Aug 2005 (Forum)
When starting from cold, there is no smoke for the first minute or so, then suddenly clouds of the stuff (greyish) come out till it's heated up. Once its heated up, the smoke stops completely again and it runs well. My first thought was the glow plugs, so I've just finished replacing them (a real pain in the butt), and the problem is still there.

  • Preserving cv gaiters (any fwd car) 13 May 2004 (Forum)
CV gaiters seem to get stiff and 'dried out' in time due to heat, light and general exposure to the elements. They then crack or split. I'm trying to preserve mine by regularly spraying the gaiters with a rubber/nylon lubricant aerosol. I wonder if other members have tried similar preventative measures?
  • Car choice dilemma - £5-7k 8 Sep 2007 (Forum)
Hi there, As many of you may be aware, I am not satisfied with my 1.6 TDCi 110 LX Focus, 5dr 06-reg. Having paid £9,000 I actually consider it disappointing as an all-round car (handling inferior to old model, no real equipment e.g. computer, heated front screen, alloys etc, and the interior is a let down, feeling cheaper in areas than the old Focus), and I really need about £2,000 for other personal uses, so I have decided to sell the car.
