  clicking sound from rear of parcelbox in passenger footwell, narrowed it down to climatronic when I press the recirc/ button the clicking stops for a sec then starts in a diff/ tone I have managed to stop it by randomly pressing buttons, it starts on it's own, or when ignition is switched on. not a const/ click but a pattern to the clicking. it seems to be switching  the air intake?   P.S the car gets little use over a year!!

  Noticed a wobbly mirror today and when I got home gave it a prod. The glass came away from its backing plate unbroken. Car is old so no need for a new glass which is quite expensive. Question is how to stick the glass back to its heated backing plate.  Superglue round the edges? Thought of double sided sticky tape but that might not work with the heat.

  Hello.. I have an S reg ford fiesta, recently my heating died and I replaced the heater valve; which cured the problem. Now, after about 3 weeks the heating is only blowing cold AGAIN. I've checked the valves connected, the 2 valves from the engine are hot, the two valves going into the car are cold - So the problem is halfway (Heater valve unit :/) Unless, is there anything else that can be causing this?

  The climate control on my '99 2.5 Elite is not functioning correctly. Drive off on a cold morning and it heats up the car fine. But a few miles down the road and it will only chuck out cold air despite whatever setting its on. The only way to get heat out of it is to go right up to 'HI'. Originally this only affected the passenger side, but cured itself.

  I have reported on this before, but as its getting cold I have to fix my cars lack of heating, a large has quoted £500 for a heater matrix fully fitted, though others have quoted upwards of £1000 saying its a pig of a job.  A number of you tube videos seem to suggest that the entire dashboard does not need taking out and that it can done from the footwells only removing parts of the lower dash.

  I have an L reg citroen ZX 1.9 diesel and after driving for about 5 minutes the engine oile temperature guage gradually sneaks up to the red. In addition, NO heat is coming out of the air fan heaters for the inside of the car. I've checked that there is enough oil in the engine, and enough water in the radiator and there is. The radiatior gets warm when the engine first starts, and all the pipes too and from it get warm as the engine heats up, but once it gets into the top end of the temperature scale, the radiator gets very cold (fans come on too, but I'd expect a little residual heat in there coming off from the cooling fans?)

  VW Passat 1.9 tdi 1999 10200 miles. Heater matrix problem I think(no heat),the car had a leak on the main cooling rad so a mechanic put some sealant in last year. More info the car has had a new thermostat/water pump and been flushed the heat control knob is working I can feel the valve arm moving I have not checked the heater valve to see if it is sezied.The pipes to the bulk head are both warm/hot I am trying to avoid pulling the dash out or some one else to do it .Any tips or hints please Mick

  This time saw rubber pipe to manifold sucked flat. Pulled it off to allow air in. Started fine. Left idling for 2 hours and engine heat melted ice and all OK. Q. Why on earth do LR rely on air bubbling through water, in the pipe leading up to the manifold, to dry. Cure. Either suck air in from inside the engine compartment instead of the side of a front wing OR fit a solenoid operated drain valve where water collect, open when the ignition is off.

  Ford - and VW apparently - claim there isn't a problem but something must be causing it to overheat. I suspect the heated front screen but have no real proof. It's a 130PS Ghia with climate control and my garage has replaced the same unit on other Galaxys and also Sharans but has not been able to find out why as yet.

  Got the FocuST yesterday, 3 dr ST-2, well equipped with xenons, heated screen decent MP3 compatible audio, keyless etc. Mid 2007 though almost as new having had some cosmetic work done by the lease company including alloys refurbed and fitted with four new Michelin Pilot Sport 225/40-18 tyres.

  It's hard to pin down exactly where it comes from. But I feel it's the four wheels, or the back and front in general. It's a bit odd as it used to be better in the heat/dry and worse in wet, but I was out yesterday in rain and it was so annoying, but today it's been dry and almost as bad. I used to not hear it over the radio but I can now, but that's cos I'm listening I guess!
