  • 2022 Range Rover 30 Oct 2021 (Forum)
I'm not sure that any vehicle in this price range, sold in the UK (otherwise i would say the Lexus LX570 beats it) that offers the same combination of S-Class comfort levels with Defender off-road ability - Range Rovers as the flagship are always benchmarked against the Defender. Now, if only they could sort out the reliability. If they did, it would quite possibly be the best car on sale at the price point, but they won't.

  • Peugeot 2008 1.2 130 EAT6 Allure Premium - The first thousand miles 3 Jan 2020 (Forum)
And even 5th gear is 25mph per 1000 revs, 5mph more than the manual 5th gear in a rorty revvy 80hp 1.2 Pug 208 we hired recently on hols.  For overtaking you can press the S button to drop down a gear, or just floor it and it goes like a rocket, spooling rapidly to smooth 6000 rpm change-ups. Petrol consumption is disappointing, though probably as expected from a tight new engine tuned for power rather than economy.

  • Nissan Almera Tino 2.2 dCi - Poor fuel economy 6 Apr 2019 (Forum)
Surely I should be seeing better figures than this? Others in owner reviews seem to regularly quote high 40's, what am I doing wrong, or what may be the cause of such (in my opinion) poor economy? Has this 2.2 chain cam engine any known foibles which may be giving me my problems. In general running the engine feels strong, and certainly doesn't appear lacking in power or torque and certainly isn't smoking excessively or anything obvious like that.

  • Didn't declare incident, should I now? 10 Jan 2018 (Forum)
However, I've been shopping around for a 2nd car and doing quotes online, and it has occurred to me that I may have to declare this as an "incident, no claim made" on quotes (which puts up my premium by around £90 depending on the car, and this really ****'s me off since it wasn't my fault and I I didn't make a claim - there's hundreds of threads about that gripe though, so I'll moan no further here.)  Anyway, my question is, will my insurance co be aware of this incident, or will the other party's company be the only ones aware?
  • Mk5 golf Gt Tdi - Mk5 golf Gt Tdi turbo issues, help!! 11 Oct 2017 (Forum)
I don't want to throw any more time at it as it's so frustrating, I've heard it can perminantly damage the engine, I noticed a leak on the intercooler hose where it meets the intercooler, its noticeable when I'm driving the boost noise, I've left it in hopes that it lets enough out so it counteracts the overboost and stops engine failure, just hit 100k and done 800 mile runs where it hasn't happened, but under load increases the risk of it coming back, I don't know what to do anymore, I'm worried that the turbo will s*** the bed, we have just had a newborn and we rely on our car, we are worried that the turbo could die any day... anyone able to help??.. thanks Graeme
