  So here we go! Mine is a Renault Scenic 80 Dinamique 1.5 cdi (2005 Reg). These days when I get in to the car in the evening, I find a lot of moisture (water, I would say) inside the windscreen. I use the hot air blower to get rid of this. But gets fed up & end up wiping away which leaves water marks. I am sure this is not normal, as the others who are parked in the same car park (this is very cold car park surrounded by trees/bushes) don?

  Anyone changed the heat exchanger water pipe that goes from the water pump to the heat exchanger itself (by the oil filter) ? Not the return that goes into the rad. Wondered how difficult it is. I've got a leak !

  Hi Recently changed the heater matrix on my Passat 1.9 TDI , but i still dont seem to be getting any heat through the matrix !. I have flushed the cooling system and bled it of any air locks, changed the thermostat but still no heat. Could the problem be the water pump ?

  I don't want to have a suction mount on the windscreen as I don't want the mark on the screen alerting anyone to a potential sat nav in the glovebox, plus I don't like having a mark on the windscreen! Also a windscreen mount at the base of the screen means the phone is a distance away for my poor eyes to struggle with!

  So I'm thinking driveshaft, yet it's not making the familiar clicking sound on tight turns. Then if it's not that, then possibly coming from the gearbox. After the oil has heated and become thinner, whatever is loose in the box would be likely to show up more, I guess.   This chattering rattle happens at all speeds whether in or out of gear. Negotiating a bump the rattling increases slighty and when that happens my thoughts swing back to it being a  suspension problem.

  my 2005 1.9 tdi transporter is blowing hot air while driving but  once the car is in idle it blows cold air until u drive on again. im sure its not the water pump, is there a sensor behind the tempeture control panel. or if anyone else has had this similar problen id appreciate  the help to fix it.

  Hi, Yesterday whilst driving over a poorly resurfaced road in my local area I sustained a numerous stone chips to my windscreen and bonnet due the large amount of loose chippings on the road surface. This was despite travelling at or below the recommended 20 mile an hour speed limit that had been posted. The car will need a new windscreen and the chips in the paintwork on the bonnet repairing, obviously I feel that the council is liable due to the way that they resurfaced the road.

  HW on for once. Noticed about 11.00 that the HW was on the CH off as indicated, yet there was heat coming from the radiators. There should be no heat from the rads. Has a valve gone at the boiler or is it something else? Any responses much appreciated.

  Hello all, looking for some help please I recently brought a used 2014 Mk 7, VW Golf SE and it's been a great car until some slightly colder weather and mornings arrived I am having problems with the windscreen badly fogging up. A few mornings where its been roughly 8 degrees or less I get this patchy fog covering the entire windscreen which cannot be cleared by the wipers and is not on the inside of the glass either.

  Right folks, need the collective forum brain on this one! Bought a car 2 weeks ago, and someone in their wisdom decided to apply either intentionally or not, wax or polish to the windscreen! (before my purchase) - looks maybe like an accidental runoff ? Anyway, every time the wipers wipe I see a "scum" on the windscreen, but after the wipe the screen is clear. my problem is that whenever the wipers are on constantly this "scum" is there, and it would worry me if it was raining at night and my vision would be affected.

  Could do with some suggestions please: my Civic windscreen smears every time the wipers pass, despite brand new wipers on a screen I've tried everything on to shift it. Puzzled how its picked up so many pinprick pits, (no chips or cracks), I asked my mate who runs a body shop about replacing it, but his advice was to leave it as is because in his experience not all screen replacements are done with enough care and can lead to problems.
