• Renault Laguna (1994 - 2001) - 99 1.9 clutch problems 30 Jul 2009 (Forum)
  i took it to my local garage and they told me that it needs a new clutch cable. however, this was replaced 2 months ago. the garage then told me that oem cables dont last and i need a genuine one from renault. is this correct or could it be other problems. also if a pull the clutch lever back in to place the pedal returns to its normal position and i can use the clutch a few times before it hits the floor again.

  Hi, I have a Renault Trafic 2.1 diesel Motorhome and the radiator has sprung a leak !!! I have bought a replacement radiator - but the core depth is thinner than my existing one. The original radiator is 480 width 400 height and 45 depth - but the new one is 30mm depth.

  My petrol clio Alize (90+k miles) has just started making a high pitch noise (like an aircraft getting ready for take off) - noticable becuase I do a lot of local driving!. I took it into Renault today and on popping the hood they said it sounded like the auxillary belt but it may be the cam belt and quoted from £150 - £500! The service manager was quite blase about it like I had a spare £500!

  I have just purchased a grand scenic and having a good look at all the paper work i have discoved it has had a new instrument panel fitted a month ago,as a result my millage is 400 miles and i know the car has now done 36800 now is there a way i can put the correct millage on because im concerned when i come to sell this would put people off buying.Im assuming that a renault dealer could carry out this work but im short of cash and also is it legal?

  The heater on my 1998 Renault Scenic 1.9 DTi diesel (with aircon) has never been very good in my 6 months of ownership, but this cold weather really shows up the problem. The heater matrix is not leaking, the coolant level is constant but even on a long run in this freezing weather the heat output is only luke warm, moving the heater control from hot to cold does make the output colder but on max heat it is pathetic.
• Renault Modus (2004 - ) - 04 1.5 Environment filter 12 Nov 2008 (Forum)
  My wife has a Modus and the day after getting an MOT teh engine management system light came on and we have established its something to do with an environment filter. The car runs fine but a local mechanic (not authorised Renault dealership) has told us it needs a new filter that will cost £169. The car is 4 years old and has done about 60k miles. It the DCi diesel model. Has anyone else had this problem and does £169 seem reasonable if you have had one replaced?

  My son has been given a motor caravan based on a 1984 Renault Trafic petrol chassis. Despite looking rather tatty, it's actually in quite good condition having done less than 90000 miles from new. When I took it out on a test run, I noticed that the alternator/charge warning light comes on dimly and that turning on something which pulls a lot of current (heater blower, headlights) causes the light to go out.

  I have heard for several years now that Renault plan to launch the Dacia Logan in the UK at some stage, but never been able to pin down a date. I'm very interested in getting one of the 7-seat estate models which are now available on the continent, but despite extensive googling I can't find any information as to whether this model will ever come to the UK.

  I have a renault clio on a '02 plate, and until recently it was running perfect. Just lately, while out drivng, it loses all acceleration but the engine keeps turning. If I leave it for a little while, it is fine and of I drive.

  Hi all, Last year June i bought a Renault Megane 1.6 VVT Dynamique Automatic (petrol). It was previously a Cat D write off however it has been perfectly repaired and has an engineers report. Done approx 33000 miles. Runs beautifully and never had any problems.

  for costs regarding the Timing Belt and Accessory Belt to be fitted to your 182 and have been quoted All In £700.00, then there is you 10% discount which will then bring the total to £630.00.' My BIL has sent me an email from his local Renault dealer (I quote above). Is this really a realistic cost? About twice the cost of similar work on the Passat diesel. And I thought that was expensive!

  5th gear has an interesting crash test tonight, surprised if it's type hasn't been done before? A Volvo 940 and a Renault Modus in an offset frontal crash at 40mph. My money's on the Volvo physically holding up well but something nasty in the cabin harming the driver. Not sure that offset tests were really in when the 940 was designed so perhaps the test criteria is different?

  When in France a month or two back, I saw lots of the new look (well they're new to me anyway) Renaults. Meganes of course and the occasional Scenic or Espace. ... and those with strange names ... is it Avantime and Vel Sartis? Well it's something like that anyway. The thing is, I've never managed to see an Avantime and Vel Sartis together, side by side.

  Hi I have a 1994 Renault Clio RT and have been experiencing a few problems with the heaters. Whenever the heater is put to "hot" it will only blow luke warm air out of the vents - no matter how hot the engine is. The pipes going into the heater are hot and I have flushed the system out and replaced the coolant, but to no avail.

  Well my question is what the subject says! Does the Nissan Note use a Renault catalytic converter? Why am I asking? Well long story but... I suffer from chemical sensitivity meaning that I react very badly to various fumes that a normal person would not notice at all.
