  now that summers here can anyone recommend the best way ( and easiest) way to remove squashed flys from the windscreen and paint work ????regular washing doesnt seem to remove the stuborn marks

    I checked the MOT history and it passed it's last MOT with the following advisorys: Repair as soon as possible (minor defects): Front Windscreen wiper blade defective Both. (3.4 (b) (i)) Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): Parking brake has slight reserve travel. Front Registration plate deteriorated but not likely to be misread (0.1 (b)) Rear Direction indicator slightly discoloured Both. (4.4.3 (a)) Nearside Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i)) Offside Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement (5.3.4 (a) (i)) Rear Brake disc worn, but not excessively Both. (1.1.14 (a) (i)) Brake hose has slight corrosion to ferrule All. (1.1.12 (f) (i)) Rear Coil spring corroded Both. (5.3.1 (b) (i)) Offside Front Tyre slightly damaged/cracking or perishing (5.2.3 (d) (ii)) All suspension components slightly corroded.

  No skid marks on road.  Onky damage to his car was front wing damage, car still drivable.  Theres more to it than meets the eye but dont really want to go into much detail other than he had been following them AND his ex girlfriend was driving the car my Daughter was in.

  Just wondering if anyone can help. My rain sensitive windscreen wipers are doing my head in!! My symptoms are: - they jump around and stop where they like as if they don?t know where the parking position is. There is a clicking noise, sounds like a relay, which I think it might be causing it.

  My son had the windscreen of his Punto cracked by a large stone on Friday. He called his insurer's windscreen claim line (Nationwide) and the first day they could offer was Monday 29th. That's 10 days, or 8 if reasonably you exclude Christmas and Boxing Day.

  My Renault Trafic cut out on motorway. 70mph Pre heat light came on. It turns over but wont fire . Diagnostic says DF056 mass airflow. Changed it and still wont start.Changed EGR. No joy.  Diagnostic also said left front wheel speed sensor but that shouldn't stop it firing up should it?

  for a little while now i have noticed a slight rattle when pulling off, once moving it goes, i thought it was a heat shield some where but looking today its coming from the front of the engine around the top end, it only does it under the initial load of accelerating, any ideas what it could be, my first thought was valve clearance, its a 1.25 zetek with 84k on it, apart from oil changes it has never had any work done to it.

  If I have been driving my 3 1/2 year old A3 1.6 auto (36,000m) around London's bumpy roads for more than 30 mins the front suspension/sub frame starts creaking continuously like floorboards. It does not seem to happen on a long M or A road journey only in town. After stopping for a few hours no more noise so it could be heat build up related e.g from engine gearbox or friction in a bearing/mount.

  Today, 3*C in Scotland (it's heating up!).Put my passenger front window down.It moved fine.On the way up it started sticking,made a few funny noises then a "clunk" and the window completely stuck.You can now move the glass by hand.The motor still moves with the switch (although very rough).Is it likely that the motor is on its way and the window has came out of the mechanism?

  My Laguna (18 months old) has its radio aerial built into the rear windscreen. The problem is that the connecting wire (which is soldered onto the windscreen) keeps falling off. It's virtually impossible to solder onto the glass and I am despairing at getting decent radio reception.
