  I recently had my scuttle drains cleaned and the windscreen trims would have been removed. I have also had my windscreen changed multiple times during the cars life and as a result the clips were likely to have had their day. One of the windscreen trims went missing on a long drive.

  I don't live in the UK any more but I still listen to various UK internet radio stations. Even before I escaped from the UK the windscreen crack repair scare advert  annoyed me -particularly the irritating twerp driving a windscreen repair van purporting to work for a certain company who guarentee that if you have a chip in the screen, when you turn the heater on to the windscreen it will crack.

  I have a Passat 130tdi estate. Water is getting into front drivers side floor pan. Suspect it may be coming from bulkhead. Can anyone tell me where drain channels are located - they may be blocked by leaf debris as vehicle is parked under trees and i have cleard out a lot of compacted debris from under the vents between bonnet and windscreen.

  I wonder if anyone can shed any light on a sudden windscreen wiper and heater fan failure on my '96 Punto which occurred on Friday. I thought it must be a fuse as the front and rear wipers and washers have ceased to operate at all, as has the heater fan. Both fuses checked - OK.

  Can anybody help in advising how best to remove a small windscreen chip caused by a stone? It doesn't seem to have done any harm but I don't want to leave it there indefinately.
