Windscreen Washer Dilutant 12 Mar 2009 (Forum)
I bought a bottle of windscreen washer dilutant recently and was intrigued to see that one of its features as advertised on the label was 'Citrus Scented'. I thought nothing about it but now that I have started to use it there is a definite (and quite pleasant) lemon aroma that permeates the interior of the car after each squirt of the windscreen washer. -

2006 Audi A6 saloon tdi - water leak 2 Jan 2020 (Forum)
Rear footwell fills up with water. When about 3 inches of water in well it transfers to front well. I ran hosepipe on front windscreen and water leaks in and I think runs down a channel in the floor plan to the rear. Cleared what debris i could but have not yet removed pollen filter as its awkward to get at. -
Mondeo v S60 5 Feb 2009 (Forum)
(yes, I know they don't all look like must-haves...). 0 - 60 under 9 secs Top 130+ MPG in the mid thirties or better 16" tyres cheaper to replace than 17" Heated front screen Heated front seats Cruise control Roomy front & boot (hatchback preferred really, but S60 is exception) Would prefer to buy one with under 30k miles Not an estate Prefer a manual I've had enough trouble narrowing the choice down to these two really, but if anyone has any other suggestions which fit the bill I'd be happy to consider. -

Where can water get in from? 16 Jan 2007 (Forum)
I have poured full buckets of water down the front vents, the screen, jetwashed right up against the edge of the windscreen, etc, but the car stays dry. It seems to come in through the passenger footwell vents but I could be wrong. I have siliconed the chassis and replaced the pollen filter housing but I am now totally and utterly stumped. -
Features I'd like in a car 10 May 2005 (Forum)
Things I'd like to see on all cars: 1-foglights that turn off automatically after 10 minutes. 2-ditto indicators 3-seatbelts you cant trap in doors 4-light sensitive horns that deactivate during hours of darkness 5-speed governers you can set easily yourself 6-an extra button on your key remote that closes all the windows and sunroof 7-windscreen washers that give a spray, not a jet 8-door speakers that arent obscured by passengers legs etc 9-some way of demisting the side windows that actually work 10-front seats that you genuinely can fold flat Anyone care to add to the list? -
Rain X 8 Jan 2004 (Forum)
I've read the archives. Personally: Love it. Only thing that keeps my front screen clear as the 20 year old windscreen wiper motor is distinctly sticky. Drizzle in the dark making it difficult? Turn those wiper blades off. Side & back windows - a dream. Long lasting - lasts forever. 6 months since I applied it, 5k miles, car lives outside. -

Pug 106 Handbrake 5 Feb 2004 (Forum)
Does a Pug 106 Look 2 (98) automatic rear brake ( Bendix ) adjuster also deal with hand brake cable length, I get the impression it does not as they refer to hand brake cable adjustment ever 12K miles. If so is it the rear or front heat shield that has to come off. Thanks Peter -

Air con 3 Nov 2001 (Forum)
When I switch my air con on a get a damp smell which eventually clears. Also if I switch it off while travelling, it tends to steam up the front windscreen and the air gets a warm a damp smell which takes quite a while to disperse! Is this normal? Will getting the aircon serviced/gas changed help, or is there something else I could do? -
Nissan Leaf - Leafing my wallet alone! 18 Apr 2025 (Forum)
The interior is well made and rattle free and it’s spacious and practical with a surprisingly large boot. The heating controls are simple and not buried under menu’s in a touchscreen. It’s quite easy to live with. I’m not a fan of the styling, but I quite like the interior. It’s a bit dark and the high dash and small windscreen make it feel a little claustrophobic but it’s well built and the heated front seats are comfortable. -
Ford mondeo estate mk3 (EURO 4) - New parking sensors for front and rear 31 Jan 2011 (Forum)
Where a yellow wire to brake light wire colour? And How do a display wire throught in vent or side windscreen to control box in rear boot? I can know still drill front and rear bumpers easy but a front bit difficult over 4 sensor for front put front bumper through under engine to power ass steering to interior to a control box. -

i had my front brake pads changed recently. soon after that, one day i was driving on the North circular when a driver in the next lane gestured to me that something was wrong with my bront wheel drivers side. i stopped at a stopped immediately to find that there was some smoke coming up from the brakes area and a strong smell of rubber. and there was so much heat.
