The device specifically reduces Nitrous oxides emissions (NOx), which are linked to exacerbating and even causing respiratory disease, but doing so increases the car’s fuel consumption. When not in use, the car is more efficient but, it’s been discovered, releases huge amounts of NOx. Volkswagen has already admitted that its other mainstream brands – Skoda, SEAT and Audi – use the engine in question, with a Spanish newspaper today claiming that SEAT has used 500,000 since 2009. -

New Mazda 3 to Drive 9,300 Miles Hiroshima to Frankfurt 22 Jul 2013 (News)
. In the UK, there will be a choice of two bodystyles (hatchback and fastback), three SKYACTIV-G petrol engines and one SKYACTIV-D diesel - all offering an unbeatable combination of performance, fuel economy and low emissions that should place the all-new Mazda3 among the best in Europe's C-segment. This will be the third time that Mazda models have taken part in such an extreme test drive. In 1977, German reporters drove two predecessors of the Mazda3 - Mazda 323 hatchbacks - from Japan to Frankfurt. The expedition was followed up successfully in 1990, when four Mazda 626s crossed the former Soviet Union. Now the stage is set for the most advanced Mazda compact ever to follow in their tracks. -

British Car Auctions Presents the Long View of the Used Car Market 26 Aug 2011 (News)
While the traditional approach to choosing a used car may be colour, price, brand, and model, the economy is playing an increasingly important role in car choice. BMW to Offer Winter Tyre Packages 4 Aug 2010 (News)
