Volkswagen Golf TDI - Car Windows misting up badly - Golf V (2004) 9 Nov 2019 (Forum)
I have checked the pollen filter, looks almost new. I also feel the blowers/ heating-cooling system doesn’t work correctly, the temperature coming out doesn’t always match the setting and the blowers don’t seem to work as they should. For example when I trying to clear the windscreen they do not come on full blast most of the time unless I squirt the washer jets for a few seconds or if I put the car in reverse?? -
Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 03 2.0 cruise control problems 26 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Experienced some odd cruise control earlier. Cruise on speed set turn on heated windscreen - speed increases 5mph press speed decrease, wait few seconds, speed increases all on it's own accord until i press resume button to turn system off!! It was accelerating all by itself to 90mph and beyond when I intervened. -
Fiesta Mk4 b fuses 17 Nov 2003 (Forum)
I have a fiesta Mk4b (facelifted version), and i want to know how i change the fuses in the fusebox thats in the engine bay, not the normal blade fuses, the special ford type of fuse, especially the 60amp fuse for the heated windscreen, it looks like it is pushed in place, but i was told they are screwed in place underneath the fuse holder, i don't know wether this is actually the case or not. I have seen one of these fuses and they appear to have a brass nut fitted on each terminal for doing a screw onto. -
Toyota MR2 - brakes - hot rear discs 8 Mar 2013 (Forum)
Any ideas for a diagnosis? I should add that the front brakes are running as normal. The changed rear discs are making a huge difference between the temperature between the front and the rear discs. Should this be the case? I've never had such a great temperature differential before in all the 85,000 miles I have driven the car. -

Peugeot 306 - Windscreen Wiper / Washer problems 14 Dec 2010 (Forum)
It's annoying though and means that I have to sit idle for a while or risk a potentially dangerous journey. Any advice much appreciated. Secondly, the windscreen washers. Since the extreme weather struck, the back one hasn't worked at all, and the front washers have only worked very sporadically. I've sprayed de-icer on the jets, and filled up the washer fluid tank, but to no avail. -

Nissan Note front seat 12 Sep 2006 (Forum)
I was reading the threads about Honda Jazz versus Nissan Note as I though the Note would be good for my parents. My mother has decided she does not like the view out of the Honda windscreen(!). Today I wandered into a local Nissan dealer to look at the Note. It all seems very nice and reasonably well built and very spacious in the back. But I though that the drivers seats was both too long and also too low at the front. -
Vauxhall Astra F (1991 - 1998) - 1997 1.6 gurgling coolant header tank 25 Aug 2008 (Forum)
Have an Astra 1.6cc 8 valve 75bhp. Recently noticed strange bubbling coming from front passenger side possibly expansion tank maybe heating matrix. Am losing a little water but can't find any sign of a leak 'no wet patch under car/no water staining under bonnet'. Car does run on the cool side stuck open thermostat I fancy for that. -

Skoda Fabia (2000 - 2007) - 02 1.4 Front wipers self park ½ way across screen 7 Mar 2009 (Forum)
Its my sisters car. The wipers have decided to self park half way across the windscreen They sweep up then down then up to halfway. Its as though the relay for the motor is late in turning off. I have put in a new identical motor from a salvaged 2008 Seat Ibiza - no luck!! -
Fiesta mk4 Water Leak 14 Jun 2007 (Forum)
Given the age of the car, that's obviously not worthwhile, but before I take my Fiesta to an independent garage is there anything I could check and repair myself? For example, when I pour water down the windscreen while looking under the bonnet, I can see that quite a bit of the water leaks straight into the rear of the engine compartment - is this normal? -

Privacy glass 19 Feb 2009 (Forum)
Apart from maybe filtering out sunlight, what is the point of privacy glass? To me it makes a car look odd when the windscreen and side windows have normal glass and the rest of the car has dark windows. It must cost more too. Its mostly people carriers and exec 4x4's that seem to have it fitted but those I've seen recently only had two people in them, a driver and front seat passenger who were clearly visible so no privacy for them! -
2004 citroen c5 1.8 petrol - Windscreen washer's 12 Jul 2015 (Forum)
Hope this helps someone else just today I have had a problem with my front washer's not working just a few bubbles of water coming out and all the water going out of the rear window jets when the washer stalk was operated this should not happen water should only exit rear jets when the button on the end of the stalk is turned forward the motor was working normally so after trying other things I found the way to sort it was by disconnecting the supply tube at the first joint by the edge of the bonnet and squeezing tightly together whilst operating the stalk to wash position which built up pressure and all worked normally again after reconnecting someone suggested the car need to go on a code reader and it could be the comms unit on the steering column all expensive ways if you have trouble please try this first Regards ando1
