Will new tyres solve my Polo's uncomfortable ride?

I have a Volkswagen Polo 1.2 TSI that is 12 months old. When I went for a test drive, prior to purchase, I complained that the ride was too hard. The dealer told me not to worry as there is a 'comfort setting' by reducing the tyre pressures.

I dropped the front to 33PSI and rear to 30PSI but this hasn't fixed the problem. I really like the car and wonder if i change the current 185/60 R15 tyres to say 195/65R15 Mitchelin Cross Climates, would this significantly improve the ride?

Drop the fronts to 30 cold and leave the rears at 30 cold. See if that solves it. If not, fit Michelin Cross Climate 185/60 R15s and run them at 30/30 cold pressures. As soon as the tyres heat up pressures will increase to 32/32 anyway.
