  I'm out about  £850 (not to mention a ruined holiday) and if the turbo failure was caused by negligence on the part of the UK garage I’d like the chance to get some or all of it back. (I have both the u/s turbo and the old filter unit). Can you advise if lack of servicing the PCV filter can cause turbo failure. If this is so, some references would be very helpful.

  I've only recently passed my driving test (31st March) but am on my third car already (none have been in an accident I might add!) which is a Nissan Micra (S reg 1 litre) All was good until the other night when it was brought to my attention that my tail lights had gone. Simple fix or so I thought. It turned out that the fuse had gone and in the process some wiring had burned through.

  If a 12V feed is supplied to the compressor the system then works perfectly well and gets cold very quickly. The control unit is located behind the front bumper on the N/S. There are three permanent live fused feeds plus one ignition fused feed to the control unit which are present and correct. The control unit has a good earth. There is a 12V feed from the A/C switch at the control unit.

• Ford Galaxy - Brakes fault finding master cylinder calipers 4 Aug 2011 (Forum)
  Does anyone have any general advice on all this?  Is it worth replacing the seals, or should I replace the whole caliper(s)? Could the master cylinder operate at a different pressure? (It is "supposed" to be the correct one... despite the different dimension mentioned above). Thanks in advance!!!!

  Car is using 1.5 litres of oil (approx half dipstick) every 300 mile. I know my options are to do valve stem seals and new tappets but this means spending £££'s on a car that isnt even worth a grand. 2. When coming to a stop and dipping the clutch i.e at a roundabout. Engine never seems to settle to idle, it always drops down to 500 rpm and revs back up normal idle speed.

  Hyundai UK said the engine needed 500 miles to bed in, while the suppling dealer said 2K. The Aftersales Manager also said he was getting the low 30's in his company IX35. Surely the real world mpg should be around the figure quoted for the Combined cycle ? I have also noted and pointed out that the engine does not seem to be reaching the right temperature.

  The image of the passenger appears to have been pixilated out  and the drivers face digetally enhanced but my husband and I look extremely alike and it is still not clear who was driving at the time. We are both in our 60's and we change drivers on a very regular basis on long and unfamiliar journeys. he also has a medical condition which make sitting in one position for a long time hard. The police are telling me that as the registered keeper I have to supply details of the driver.

  I also have a few old work collegues who work at various dealers who always give me first look at their part ex\'s before ethey go through the auction which has been profitable in the past.   My worry is that this is not the car it's supposed to be but at the same time, all the features don't match up with any of the lower ranked models like S, Twist, E.   Like the front windscreen the sunroof is part of the stuctute of the car and was wondering how will it stand potholes, rough roads etc. Ford S-max owners have reported seeing crack in the sunroof after a few years.     Can't find sight nor sound of any Camrys in local breakers, or motorfactors stocking said bit/s, so was wondering if the prices quoted sounded about right for the job, and also if the motors themselves are prone to failure?
