Mazda Rotary engine. 8 Nov 2011 (Forum)
I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the Mazda sports model that has the rotary engine fitted and I was about to post a enquiry about the car to enquire if anyone had experience of running this model as a day to day car. You cannot help wondering if the engine is troublefree, when first introduced there was much talk of other manufacturers going along this route, however I am not aware of any others. -
Ford Galaxy 1.9 td 2001 - Water pump 29 Oct 2011 (Forum)
They are the original garage who did the repair in 2010, they are getting on to ford as the car has only done 15000 since the original part was fitted, the 10 month warranty has run out and the garage feel that ford should offer a goodwill gesture. I was wondering what members feel I should be paying towards the cost of this repair? -
Toyota Yaris Verso - how many yaris verso's were made 27 Oct 2011 (Forum)
I've owned a toyota yaris verso since year 2000 and would love to know just how many of these cars were manufactured. It was a very short run and many of these cars were used as mobility cars. resulting in low mileage, so i think that in the future this vehicle could become a collector's item..So if some enthusiast out there like me has this information i would be most greatfull...Many thanks in advance Les Thorley.... -

any - dangerous HID headlights 24 Feb 2011 (Forum)
I'm not so sure its the HID lamps, i think its more a case of those that are not correctly aligned and those that are incorrectly fitted to cars as conversions kits, but worse still are those that will fit the illegal 110w bulbs. having been an MOT tester its so easy to spot those cars driving around clearly with illegal bulbs and included are motorcycles where some are running around on full beam or badly adjusted -

ford c-max 2007 - sinking brake pedal 30 Jan 2011 (Forum)
The brakes have worked perfectly before & after this event. I had them checked at a garage & no fault was found. With the engine running the pedal sinks to the limit & feels like a master cylinder fault but I checked on another c-max with only 20000 on the clock & it felt exactly the same. Can anybody explain this? -
Mazda Xedos 9 - thermostat gone? 24 Jan 2011 (Forum)
The car starts and runs fine until you get stuck in traffic, the temperate gauge goes up just passed the half way mark and the electric fans cut in ok but, then steam starts coming out of the front of the radiator. I had a looked when the engine cooled down there was plenty of water in the radiator, but there is a hose that goes in to the engine block with a radiator cap on it. -
2004 Audi A3 1.6 petrol manual - Audi A3 rear washer 17 Jan 2011 (Forum)
Bought said car 2 months ago and am a first time Audi owner and an experienced home mechanic. Rear wash no longer works although you can hear the elec motor running when the stalk is activated. (Front washers are fine). I have cleared the 2 jets on the rear blade with a pin but this did not solve problem. Cannot see how to access 'plumbing' and no sign of liquid leaking out anywhere. -

Ford Focus - Ford Focus Screen Heater Again 20 Dec 2010 (Forum)
The light comes on at the switch, but no heat. I noticed that the light will only come on with the engine running. Can anybody diagnose? Anybody know a part number and/or a rough price for a replacement relay. If it's cheap I could try one, but I don't know if that's the problem. -
Nissan Micra 04 1.4 - 'Drumming noise' 20 Nov 2010 (Forum)
We assumed it was a problem with the tyre and it has now been swapped for a matching Conti tyre, but we still have the noise. Suggestions please! I'm think about wheel bearing - could running a new tyre suddenly start it to get noisy? -
Vauxhall Corsa B - corsa b cyl head gasket 1.2 8valve 15 Nov 2010 (Forum)
Hi, noticed corsa was loosing coolant the other day, checked it over found coolant running down front of block from head gasket. my question is are the head bolts reusable, and does the cam carrier have to come off, the head bolts seem to be on the outside of carrier. also does the water pump rotate to tension the cam belt or is there a seperate tensioner. -

I have a grey-import celica convertible that doesn't get used very often - just high days and holidays for a good long run to the coast or a anational trust proerpty or some other excursion . Although the car itself is 100% reliable the battery is not liking the infrequent use and now struggles to hold any charge. -

Any - stop/start 24 Jul 2010 (Forum)
It seems to me that there is considerable extra wear and tear on the starter motor, battery, flywheel gear ring, snatch on the cam belt/chain drive and many other systems which would be better contiuing to run smoothly rather than stopping and starting many times. I doubt the carbon savings are worth it from a cost and inconvenience point of view. David Gealy, Henley-on-thames -
