VW Camper - Leisure battery - vwscotty

Hi, Can anyone recommend a 'decent' leisure battery for my 1975 VW Camper?? Ive had a couple of unknown brand 85A ones from a well known camping shop! Which dont last long at all when in use & will only charge to 75% when charged off the van! I have a split charge relay & believe the Alternator puts out 55A. From the leisure battery im running the stereo, 2 Amplifiers, a couple of interior lights & a propex heater, Not all at the same time. any ideas? Thank Scott.

Buy an 'AGM' battery. it isn't a make but a type, 'absorbant glass mat' they are about the best reasonably priced battery.
