  Review sites generally acclaim it as having the best drive among large family cars, and on par with the Mondeo. I haven't heard much about rust issues with the Mazda 6 2nd gen cars. That seems to have been fixed. Another point about this car, is that Mazdas don't have a service book. They maintain a digital service record of services done at Mazda. So it's very difficult to ascertain whether a car has a full service history,  as used car dealers rarely have the actual invoices of services done, if it is done outside the Mazda network....

  Any views on the latest 6 diesel engine vs. the petrol? there's a lot of noise online about Mazda diesel engine prolems but do these woes apply to the latest generation? I do around 12k mile per year, mostly motorway. The latest 2.0 petrol Mazda motor seems a sensible alernative, with great economy.

  My car was in for a service yesterday and I took the opportunity to test drive the new Mazda 3 while I was there. Ticks all the boxes for me so I will be giving this car some serious consideration later this year. However, the revelation of the day was the courtesy car which was the previous (just replaced) Mazda 3.

  I have an unused Tempa 17" 125 80 spare wheel kit from my previous Volvo V60. The steel wheel appears to be identical to the extremely expensive (almost £400) Mazda spare wheel kit (125 70 R17), However, the 125 80 R17 is far closer in diameter to the 19" wheels on the Mazda. The Mazda dealer has declined to comment whether the Tempa wheel will fit the Mazda.

  Hi there! I have just purchased a lovely Mazda 2 and can't be happier, the only problem was the car didn't come with a service book. When I contacted the previous owner he told me the service was all done electronically, is this correct? And if so how would I now obtain the service history now being the new owner.

  We have just acquired a 2004 Mazda 2, 1.4 with, what the handbook describes as, semi-automatic transmission. It obviously doesn't work like a conventional automatic and I am curious as to how it does work. I have ransacked the internet and can find no technical information on it whatsoever.

  Looks like I've got to service my Son's Mazda 6 diesel this weekend, so i need to know if and how i bleed the system after changing the fuel filter. Is it self bleeding like my Peugeot or is there a bleed screw I need to undo? Many thanks in advance Robin the Technician

  Hi all - looking to buy a Mazda 5. Hoping someone can confirm: avoid sports model as they are the ONLY models to suffer excess tyre wear...? I think my 'ideal' model is a 55-56 2.0 D in TS or TS2 or Furano guise.... Looking at £10k.

  Hi I have a new mazda mx5 ( about 3 weeks old) The clutch has a judder which is worse when the car is cold Mazda tested the car and agreed that a new clutch is in order .Also that this is a common problem with this and some other mazda models Has anyone any experience of this...also if this does not cure the problem would I be able to reject the car?
