Mondeo estate dec 2002 washer 16 Jan 2019 (Forum)
I had a quick look at a friends Mondeo because the front washers were not working. The pump motor appears to be running in that the sound it makes is consistent with a normal pump sound, the nozzles are not blocked, the pipe from the nozzles back to the resevoir is clear and connected (and pump) because I have blown low pressure air back into water resevoir to check. -

Peugeot 307 - Coolant temperature issue 4 Sep 2018 (Forum)
Perhaps unconnected, but the standard temperature on the dash is also showing permanently as 39/40/41 even when the car hasnt been running. That probably is totally unrelated, but seemed to happen at the same time. If anyone can suggest any advice, would be much appreciated. -

307 SW - Replacement car 18 Feb 2018 (Forum)
She likes the high seating position of the Picasso; it does 11-12k a year ( a mix of local driving - we live in a small town so regular 10+ mile runs; and longer trips). Budget is 8-9k. The dead 307 is also a 1.6 16V deisel of doom - and will got to the scrap man with its original turbo, EGR valve, injectors and clutch at 140k. -
Volkswagen Touran - Advice needed please. 6 Oct 2017 (Forum)
The garage it is in claims it has the wrong fuel in. This would mean that from when I literally filled the tank, my car has run for 10 days and over 80 miles on the wrong fuel. So I have two questions 1) is this possible? 2) if it is possible, would the recovery guy (who came Monday) , have been able to restart my car and take it out for a drive before taking it to the garage? -
Fiesta 03 1.4 TDCI - Blue smoke and lots of it 11 Aug 2017 (Forum)
Ford fiesta 2003 1.4 TDCI 113k Serviced Oil/fuel/air filters replaced and fresh oil Still very good fuel consumption Slight Diesel smell inside when running Lot's of blue smoke after idling for a while then pulling away and accelerating 1st and 2nd, I guess the speed after is dispersing the smoke. It first smoked like this at Christmas after sitting in a ferry port with the car idling for an hour or so as the weather was freezing and was trying to keep warm with the heaters, I pretty much filled the car deck with smoke :( Rocker cover gasket needs replacing No loss of power Not using a weird amount of oil, 3/4 on the dipstick since service Turbo has just been replaced. -
2001 Daewoo Matiz - Daewoo Matiz - Stalling Issue 26 May 2017 (Forum)
The car stalls only once and then the same light thumping sound from exhaust as if something is stuck in it before it clears and it starts to run without fault. I've checked the air filter, it is relatively clear as if recently changed. Also checked, it doesn't give out smoke as well, oil level is pretty much constant too so I doubt it's burning oil. -
Hyundai Coupe - Will these alloys fit my Hyundai Coupe? 22 Mar 2017 (Forum)
I found my cars specifications here: https://www.wheel-size.com/size/hyundai/coupe/2003/ 205/55R16 91V 6.5Jx16 ET46 5x114.3 and was wondering if these would fit: https://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/team-dynamics/cyclone/black/16-inch Do I need to fiddle with spacers or whatever? Would I run into any trouble or is replacing alloys simply a matter of taking one set off, put another set on and you're good to go? If they do fit, would that mean that any of these probably will too? -
Ford Focus Estate 2008 - 1.6tdci- Alternator 30 Nov 2016 (Forum)

Peugeot 307 SW - Tail light blinking when using turn signal 5 Oct 2016 (Forum)
v=Mc4utSOhBJE&feature=youtu.be After some time (~1 min.), the tail light runs like turn signal and the turn signal itself is very weak. Audi A3 Sportback 2.0tdi 170 - Random Stall / cut out 4 Sep 2016 (Forum)
Also sometimes after one of these 'twitches' the glow plug light will come on and start flashing. when you turn the igniton off and restart it goes away. car runs fine with no loss of MPG or turbo boost when this isnt going on. Audi has just replaced all the injectors as part of a recall which i hoped would fix this but is hasnt. I have ordered a VAG reader but it hasnt arrived yet so dont have any error codes as yet. -
Mercedes benz b200 Automatic - Faulty Gear Box 16 Jul 2016 (Forum)
It is a 2008 diesel model The vehicle has been serviced regularly with the dealer and suddenly the automatic transmission stalled after doing about 40,000 miles and on the overall has run up a mileage of 87,000miles. The dealer informed me it broke down because of its age and that it is going to cost about £3400 plus VAT to repair because the vehicle is out of warranty. -
KIA Sportage - Comments on Kia Sportage? 9 Jun 2016 (Forum)
Summary of my car use: about 10,000 mile p.a. or less. Most journeys short; brief motorway run once a week. Every few months a 300-mile plus long journey - mainly motorway. Nearly all of the time it's one or two adults. Any comments about power/torque/driving experience, or any other aspect of the car will be appreciated. -
brake pad material 20 May 2016 (Forum)
Some of it IS a bit odd though - I mean, I wouldn't have thought there were vast numbers of Chevy Kalos and Tacumas running about - maybe their owners don't make claims because they hardly ever use their cars? Similarly there's not many Rover 25s about these days. But I did note that the No. 1 worst score was for a BMW M5. -
Dream car? 4 Jan 2016 (Forum)
Sitting in traffic one day, I thought about my current car... it has a heater, air con, a radio, it's cheap to run, realiable and it'll get to 15mph pretty quickly. What more could I want when I'm stuck in traffic? I may have my dream car and hadn't realised it. There are faster cars out there, but it would be a waste for what I do. -

VW Passat B6 - VW COST CUTTING Warranty customers not economical 3 Nov 2015 (Forum)

VW management Executive team are now telling valued customers and I quote “It’s not cost effective to repair your car”.
