  Do you think its a good deal, or at least fair? Any advice appreciated. Used BMW 118i 2.0 M sport 5 door hatch 49K on the clock 2006 S (private plate included) Manual 6 speed Petrol Full leather interior, sport steering wheel and handling Idrive and satnav included Exterior and interior in mint condition But!! It has already had 4 owers!!!!!

  I have just picked up a nice little 2011 Citroen c3 1.6 auto exclusive ,stolen recovered which was cat d and had a small bit of n/s front wing damage. Citroen have three year warranty and according to their website the warranty is transferable. It's the cat d bit that I am not sure about, would they still transfer it?. The other problem is because it come salvage we don't have any of the bits that come with it, like handbook service book warranty, we can't even get the wheels of as we don't have the lock nut key.

  1999 S reg estate, 103000 miles. after 2.5 utterly trouble free years, sudden no go. Whirring sound from starter (not a click) and engine will not fire. Battery seems fine (lights good etc). did move it around the driveway the other day (last time it was moved) which I've never done before, but apart from that nothing unusual.

  1997 Ford Fiesta 1.25 with Zetec Engine My son has just returned from a couple of days away (including motorway journeys ) and says that on several occasions when pulling up to a road junction and putting engine into neutral, the car revs went up to 5k plus. He reckons that he`s checked to see if the throttle cable etc was jammed , car mat sticking and anything else obvious but has found nothing . We`ll be looking at it in the morning in the daylight but in the meantime does anyone have any experience of this problem orhave any suggestions?

  It was supposedly replaced 5 years go on 101,000 and now the mileage is 133,000. How difficult is it to do? I have replaced cambelts on 106's and on saxo's and they are relatively straight forward. I have been quoted in the region of £370 by the garages around here and due to the cars age it isn't worth forking out that kind of money when if I do it it will cost around £80 -£100 inc the water pump.

  I bought some touch up paint which he applied on it plus the accompanied lacquer but it still looks s***e. He has offered to touch it up again and buff it over which is fine just so long as its less visible. Is a trip to the bodyshop the only way? If so anywhere good to recommend in the Manchester area?

  The most important factors for me are: * Comfortable for passengers (especially those prone to car sickness) * Safe and reliable * Enough space in the back to meet my needs * Not too thrirsy/ costly to run My budget will be around £7k and at the moment I am considering the Toyota Verso, VW Golf Plus, VW Touran and the Ford S-Max.  If there are any non MPV models that could meet these requirements, I would also be interested in considering them Any ideas please?   The old belt was very slack and the new one (Inc rollers) made a very noticeable difference in performance, a slight one in mpg and the engine even sounds more like a diesel! it does around mid 40's mpg wise. It all seems like a very healthy engine but, it smokes so much under load!! Any ideas?

  My starting point was a 1.9 diesel Focus, say 2-3 years old, with a tow capacity of 1500kg. However, I have seen on Autotrader a lot of 1.6 diesel i30's at reasonable prices, which can pull 1400kg, and this should be enough. I am also attracted to the Octavia which has a similar load capacity. While in the Skoda showroom, I was much taken by the Yeti because of its excellent rear visibility - good for reversing, but of course there are not many secondhand Yetis around yet.

  HI everybody! I am in the States, and I have a line on a 64 DS that´s solid, but been exposed to the hot sun in the West for a long time.I have no experience with these, but I´v ealways nthought they were cool. Anyway, I have always had oddball cars, but with no knowledge of these, I´a little hesitant without some info.I know these are rare here, but is a 64 even more rare?

    Requirements : 4 door saloon, reasonably spacious Fast, fun to drive, but reasonable economy Luxurious interior Reliable, up to a year old I have narrowed my shortlist down to : Jag XF 3.0d S portfolio (probably pre facelift, as better value) Merc CLS coupe (new shape) Lexus LS600h (OK, will have to go older to get within budget) Infiniti M hybrid (left field choice, but had a G on a year's lease which I really enjoyed) So far, I have tested the first 2, but not yet the second 2.

  The best options appear to be the Honda Jazz: 1.4 i-Vtec ES; Skoda Fabia: 1.2 TSi (86 or 105) or the VW Polo 1.2 70 S or 1.2 TSi 105 SEL. Polo seems to be most expensive and have the worst reviews. Any advice would be welcome.

  Anyone living with these cars? Are they more trouble than they are worth? Struggling to think of alternatives, Pug 406's seem more to insure. Maybe an Octavia? Have looked at something like a  Zafira, but its tough to find a cheap one that isnt a wreck.
