    Accompanying the sale will be a selection of images of Juan and Eva with the car, including them as passengers en route to a state function, plus a jewel that was discovered in the Cadillac upon its arrival in Britain and is presumed to be from one of Eva’s dresses. The current owner has decided the time has come to sell, and will be displaying the Cadillac on the concours lawn of Salon Privé before it is auctioned.
  • Indiana Jones Renault Type NN Tourer up for auction 28 May 2014 (News)
    The 1920s’ Renault retains its removable rear seats, which convert the Tourer into a pick-up. The car also features a full-length fabric roof. The Type NN Tourer carries a pre-sale estimate of £9000-£14,000 and is offered with an extensive history file. The Renault joins 150+ other classics in what will be Historics’ largest auction to date at Brooklands Museum, near Weybridge, on 7 June, with viewing the previous day.

  • 'Ex-factory' Jowett heads the lots at Barons 8 Apr 2014 (News)
    Barons’ Spring Classic sale at Sandown Park on 29 April features a number of rare and interesting cars including a 1954 Jowett Jupiter (above, estimate £24,000-27,000) with strong company provenance. It's one of just 900 built, and this one has strong links to the Jowett company, as it is being sold by by Phil Green, who was Jowett’s chief test driver from 1951-'53.  Other notable entries, in this sports car-heavy sale, include a 1963 Jaguar E-type S1 FHC £34,000-42,000), a 1967 Healey 3000 MkIII (£25,000-35,000), a 1970 Mini Cooper S with one owner from new (£14,500-16,000) and a 1973 Ford Escort Mexico (below, £17,000-20,000).
  • Beaulieu Spring Autojumble dates announced 27 Feb 2014 (News)
    . There are 1000 Autojumble spaces available, and these will be joined by the Motormart in the Beaulieu Arena, which will have up to 200 vehicles for sale. It's the 50th anniversary of the prestigious European Car of the Year title, and in celebration of this, Beaulieu is hoping to display an example of each of the 50 winning vehicles. The unique line-up will tell the story of the competition, from its first winner in 1964 (the Rover 2000) to the 2013 victor, the Volkswagen Golf.
  • McLaren MP4-12C Sells For £127,000 at Auction Today 23 Oct 2013 (News)
    It sold for £62,400, which is £17,585 behind its list price of £79,985.     The company has been quick to emphasise that the training will focus purely on safety and no commercial pressure will be put on pupils to buy cars. According to Department for Transport statistics, one in five of all reported personal injury road accidents in 2011 involved young car drivers, with 1552 were killed or seriously injured.
  • RM announces new Retromobile auction 21 Jun 2013 (News)
    Topping the early consignments is the ex-Works Gordini 24S, chassis 36 (above). It's one of the first racing cars in history to feature disc brakes all round. It was entered in the 1953, 1954 and 1955 24 Heures du Mans races, as well as numerous other well-known events including the 12 Heures de Reims; the Tour de France, where it finished 1st overall in 1953; the 1953 and 1954 1000 km  Buenos Aires; the 1955 Mille Miglia; and the 1953 Carrera Panamericana.  Max Girardo, managing director, RM Europe, said: 'To have already consigned a car as significant as the Gordini is a strong indication it will be a sale not to be missed'.
  • Land Rover to announce 800 new jobs 14 Jan 2013 (News)
    There’s already 6000 employees at Solihull, but the injection of new staff is needed to meet demand for new cars in Asian markets. JLR is confident of further growth in 2013. In December the firm also said it was considering building cars in Saudi Arabia. If it went ahead, it would be the Indian-owned company’s second overseas manufacturing plant, after agreeing to build a plant in Shanghai.
  • Peugeot’s latest Just Add Fuel model for young drivers 14 Jan 2013 (News)
    The latest car to be added to Peugeot’s Just Add Fuel scheme is the 208 1.0 VTi, which Peugeot is aiming at young drivers aged from 21-years-old. Just Add Fuel allows buyers to pay one monthly bill covering finance, insurance, road tax, maintenance and roadside assistance, so all the buyer needs to do is pay for fuel.

  • Ex-Gerry Marshall Land Rover up for auction 13 Jul 2011 (News)
    A Land Rover lovingly owned by the late racing legend Gerry Marshall, and still sporting a series of ‘optional extras’ that signify his infectious enthusiasm for both cars and competition, will be auctioned at Historics Summer sale at Brooklands on Tuesday 19 July. The 1972 Series III workhorse is affectionately festooned with stickers detailing Marshall’s various memberships, interests and passions, such as the Aston Martin Owners Club, The British Racing Drivers Club and Historic Sports Car Club amongst others.
