  Auction prices on all but high mileage or otherwise undesirable cars continued to firm up at the first big fleet auctions of the year. Small engined hatchbacks were particularly strong with as much as £4,150 paid for 99T base model Nissan Micras with around 12,000 miles and a high £4,600 for a 19,000 mile 98S Renault Clio 1.2RN.

  Some unusual cars today. No less than three Smarts, including a Brabus. A 1999 Honda Prelude with a Joseph paint job (coat of many colours) made silly money. There was a current shape Octavia. A heavily loaded C-Max 2.0TDCI Ghia that must have originally listed at over £24,000.

  A 1996N 9000 2.0 CS XS with 4 months ticket and 95,000 miles made only £1,020. Compare that to the amount the 87D convertible made. One of the more interesting cars to be sold today was a 81X Honda Accord 1.6 Executive saloon. It was in very good (but not quite outstanding) condition, had covered 39,500 miles, had air conditioning and a years MOT. It made £1,100.
