Exciting new lots have been added to the catalogue for Historics Classic Car Auction at Ascot Racecourse on 20 th May. These include a 1997 Jaguar XJ220 S Spec, two Ferrari 599GTBs, a 1933 Lagonda 3 litre tourer, a 1995 Chrysler Viper Venom, a rare ‘barn find’ 1972 BMW CSL for restoration, a 1961 Cadillac Eldorado convertible and a rather nice 1993 Mercedes Benz W124 320E convertible. -

On Saturday lunchtime Adolfo Orsi had the privilege of driving Sir Stirling Moss around the legendary Monaco circuit for three laps in his beautiful 1959 Maserati 3500 Vignale prototype. They joined other participants in the Credit Suisse Classic Car Rally Parade in a large variety of mouthwatering old cars to help mark the 10th anniversary of the Credit Suisse Classic Car Programme. -
Goodwood Festival of Speed: Volkswagen XL1 demonstrations 27 Jun 2013 (News)

The 1970 Beetle of American’s John and Brett Layzell is third, over a minute adrift, with Garrick Staples and Hayden Burvill and their 1969 marque in fourth with a total of 7h 38m 11s - a minute and a half ahead of the 1965 Porsche 911 of Peter Lovett and Tim Smith. Car 100, the 1973 Holden pick-up, crewed by Peter St George and David Gainer is fifth. While some drivers and cars are focused on winning, others just want to survive the day let alone the 33-day long challenge, with newcomer-crews getting to grips with the complexities of navigating by GPS using their Garmins, combined with the Tulip-style route book and excellently illustrated map book. -

Historics Spring saw an array of British classics feature strongly amidst an exotic spread of intriguing cars and automobilia at Brooklands, on Wednesday 18 th May, generating total car sales in excess of £670,000 and an overall sale ratio of 55% for cars and an impressive 92% for automobilia. It was fitting that a number of British marques took centre stage at the birthplace of British motorsport, with Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Jaguar, Jensen, Healey as well as Rover, all well represented amidst numerous entries from European manufacturers Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. -
Peugeot-Citroen Cleans Up its Engines 9 Jun 2010 (News)
- New internal combustion engines, in particular a new family of small 1.0-litre and 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engines (2012). In 2009, PSA Peugeot Citroën sold nearly one million cars emitting less than 130g of CO2 per km, including more than 757,000 with emissions below 120g. The Group’s objective is to sell one million cars emitting less than 120g of CO2 per km in 2012. -

A low-mileage Ferrari 328 GTS looks set to be the star of Barons October auction. The car, which was registered in 1985, has covered 1000 miles in the past 26 years – 19,000 miles in total. It is estimated to fetch up to £85,000. Ferrari fans will also have their eye on a 1979 308 GTS (£47,000-£57,000).
